  • probably the time between pulses became to be same time of pulse width (that would be "fully high" in other words 100%) so the controller probably understood like there was no pulse so that's why it stopped spining...

  • hello, where did you get those motors?, what brand are they? i have two Hitachi brush DC 24v 55W with 400ppr encoder, that look like yours, but yours look totally new. Are they new?

  • It's not that the motor can't spin faster. It's one or more of the following:

    a) The back EMF is greater than Vsupply

    b) The inductance of the windings has not been compensated for in commutation timing.

    c) You're running totally open loop and the pertubations got too large for the rotor to remain synched to the stator field.

    d) You aren't supplying enough current to the servoamp because you're using wimpy 24 gauge wire.
