Yes, even at age 12 he still has the dimples. i agree-they are pretty cute. :) he is growing up to be just as sweet as he was at this age. Very polite and sensitive and sweet. These days, that is a rare commodity for a 12 year old boy. he plays guitar now, but just started a yr ago.

He will be 13 next month. he's back in voice lessons since his voice is finally settled enough that he is not squeaking. his voice started changing when he was 10 (almost 11) he signed it because he was in a musical that Christmas and the kids did it that way. We love Declan! Such a beautiful voice.
That is really early maturation for a Caucasian kid. Good luck with the voice and guitar lessons. I don't think he has much of a future in dance but you never can tell. Good luck to you too, a proud Mama.

This is very touching! Not only singing in two languages but then adding a third. Actually to me it seems to be that the child crying in the background was soothed by his angelic voice since you would think with all the comotion it would have cried louder. I try to pay no attention to the attention seekers. He's just filled with talent. Thank you for sharing

Aled Jones had an amazing treble voice when he was a child. Now he has a wonderful tenor voice as an adult, so there is every chance Nehemiah's voice will be just as wonderful as he developes.

Silent night was written in 1816 by a man only known to his village. he was a modest curate who had no idea that his song would stand the test of time or one day be sung by a sweet 8 yr old boy in 2003. Imagine you wrote a song with that kind of impact, wow, just thinking about this story brings me to tears too.

Great voice here. Alas, nature moves on. If his voice started changing in february, the major change could be finished, but it will not "settle" for at least a year...usually. However, I know of boys that can and do sing through this time. Perhaps not solo, but in a choir. Tell him to keep up the good work!
LOL! I was digging through some old tapes & found a bunch of his old stuff. I'll be posting them periodically, but this 1 was 1 of my favorites b/c it was only his 2nd performance & before he had voice or learned to sing w/ expression. Just Nehemiah being a sweet little boy who had no idea he sang so well.
