This is poignantly evocative & beautiful! A brilliant pairing of song & poem! At this X of year & Christmas season & the conclusion of a 10+ years undeclared 'war' in Iraq, I am also thinking of all the lads & lassies who didn't make it home. May their families be comforted. This poem was a favorite of JFKs & was read during his funeral procession & ever since this poem has been associated w death. But it is also for the living who have 'miles to go...' Glad for those who did make it home!
