Nintendo Power used to be amazing before Future US took over. I mean don't get me wrong I still love Nintendo Power but the magazine just had a very special feeling to it other gaming magazines didn't have. It had the same charm Nintendo as a company has. But it seems Future took that from them.
Really hope they're still around when I find a place to settle and be able to order them again. Kinda don't like sending something in every now and then to let them know about location changes, and I've only been able to pick up a year's worth at my house once.
i would adore to have all the n64 ones. n64 was my childhood and i still consider it to be the best system of all time.... i recently just bought a lot of newish nintendo power magazines from the wii ds era... i have yet to find someone with older ones but when i do ill pay whatever it takes to have them :P
R u sure about the issue 2 and 3? cuase when i wrote ''nintendo power 3'' on goole, i saw pictures of the NP2 and whan i wrote ''nintendo power 2'' on goolgle, i saw pictures of NP3 ??
@GodBlessNes I did mistakenly switch those two issues around. You're the first person to notice that in the three years the video has been up! Good eye!
So does anyone know the cut off point for NES in nintendo power? Like... Which is the last issue to contain something about NES? I heard it was issue 67, not sure though...
I find it difficult to fathom that Nintendo Power is still around. What information could it possess, that would not already be available online? It would be out of date even before it is released, methinks.
thanks for making a video that truly made me realize how their covers became progressively less impressive over the years. OMG! their old covers were golden masterpieces
Hello, I own every issue of nintendo power, and need to sell them to a collector in order to pay for pilots lessons. If anyone is interested, please reply and I'll post a picture slideshow on youtube. Thanks!
Nintendo Power was great until the early 2000s, thats when the magazine got more expensive, started to have little to no posters inside, and all of the extra things for example the Star Fox cutout, or the Virtual Boy 3D glasses got taken out. I hope that one day Nintendo power realizes this and starts to make the magazine the way they were used to, one thing I still like about the magazine is the Playback section where they talk about old games.
Nintendo Power is way better than the crappy magazines I have to put up with in the UK. I so wish I could subscribe to it here in the UK. Awesome collection of magazines, bet it's worth a bit too!
Nintendo needs to release a new version of the NES and make cartridges just like old days! anybody with me!!! 8 bit graphics and new classic mario and zelda games!
When I saw the title, "Nintendo DS Revealed!", and Metroid Prime Hunters, oh yeah, memories of the greatest handheld ever. Same feeling with the "Ultra 64".
Great Vid! Couldn't wait for each issue back then. Once I used bought a computer in 1997, never read any more issues. I remember calling the Nintendo hotline for game advice! Thanks for posting!
omg i remembered starting to buy nintendo power when i was were a freshmen then stop on issue 213 then start again because it fun looking at the preview of games also guides(sometimes they give guides now and then).
This reminds me of when I was little, and every time a new Mega Man game was coming out on the NES and it was gonna be in the next issue of NP...I would get SO excited for it to arrive.
Wow the complete collection. Did you ever get the "Fun Club News", issues that pre-dated the Nintendo Power issues? I posted a slide show of all N64 games but no music or animation like yours :s, Nice Collection.
I got rid of mine back in 2001 and then in 2005 and missed them so I bought the 1st 80 issues off of ebay from some guy for around $85.00. It was like seriously going back into a time machine. I wasn't too interested in NP after about 1992-3. I bought those magazines again for nostalgic purposes and I loved when they had just the original Nintendo games.
when future first stated publishing it, they FUCKED it up, but theyve done a very nice job of recovering and in my opinion they will get the same if not better than the original.
I loved NP all my life...but they have changed so much after the buyout (221) that this is going to be the first time I dont renew my subscription. Atleast I have the memories...

You're missing the cover of issue #40/September 1992, featuring Felix The Cat, the second-last Nintendo Power to feature an NES game on its cover.
