Now this is the first version I ever heard of this song when I was very young, and I remember nearly falling on the floor! It became one of My very favorit versions ever!!! I have it on Both a DIVA, & Harmony 78!!! I have several versions of this song, and each is My favorit indeed in there own way. When I was in school I used this as My them song!

Love this Rudy version but still think B.A. Rolfe.s version on Edison was best.This must have been recorded electrically.

Someone in another channel said of Porter's Night and Day "it seems like a simple song till you actually try to sing it." Maybe Let's Do it is like that. This is a mess of singing by Rudy Vallee, who is normally is a great singer. Maybe the band was playing too fast, or Rudy was just having a bad day in life, or maybe it was recorded on the day in '29 when the market crashed, and everyone in the studio were thinking of their money. I don't know.

@Gydinglight12 Music isn't math, it's meant to be a mess. This version is just not to your liking. For instance some people like some new age music that sounds like a mess to most people, but to those who listen to it it's the perfect porridge.
