OMG...Grant is the worst actor ever. When I saw this on the live show I laughed my A** off. It was so obvious. I think unfortunately , Kris has nothing to do with any of this crap and is serious about what she does. These guys are wasting her time and she should have her own show investigating.
Also if you look just above where his left elbow would be, in the middle of the back of the coat, you can see the jacket sink in where the pressure of the string moved against it. Paranormal things may be real but you cant make it just happen on queue. I lived in a haunted house for three and a half years and major things would happen and then be quiet for months at a time. I dont think a tv show would likely have captured anything.
Taps lost my faith when jay and grant bought a "haunted hotel" and then had their team "investigate it on the air. would they take the risk of ruining the hotels spooky name by putting it on tv if they didn't know for certain that "grea"t evidence was gonna be found? balogna!
The thing is that we assume that ghosts grab jackets like a human hand would, but we don't know that. They might use some weird energy fields or ghostly ropes xP

I noticed that night of filming (on tv of course) that he re-entered the are with Jason without the camera. Those cameras are not cheap, so why would he just leave it somewhere in the tunnels. It's also convenient that their cameras never point in the right direction whenever they claim to see something.

He could have been mistaken about the pulled back part and it was only that something grabbed ahold of the collar. Have you every been suddenly stopped by someone or something, (say your sleeve gets caught on a door handle) and mistaken it for a tug. there's another video that shows one of the other guys messing with his jacket, and when he pats him on the back the jacket makes the EXACT same movement. there's a string in there somewhere. easy as that. i never liked these guys, their credibility was botched when i watched one of their shows and EVERY time they played and EVP recording, they would always have background music so oyu couldn't hear it clearly

Crazy! Crazy! People, the show has a staging crew, these guys might of been genuine in the beginning, but look at how they don't even investigate peoples homes anymore and they are always going to a "business". The show and the ideas are getting tiresome. It seems that anyone who likes them will find any excuse to prove they are real. These guys are under contract and they have to deliver, if they don't than there is no show. The seasons are getting shorter and so are their careers.
I assumed this was some sort of last ditch effort to save that live episode. It had gone downhill so far so quickly. I still love the show and I do believe in a lot of their evidence but that entire night was a freaking trainwreck.

it's actually kind of real becuase his other hand was in his poket and couldn't have moved, so if something pulled him backwards, only his left hand could move, witch it did. and just becuase it did doesn't mean it's an invisible string trick, becuase his arm moved about a half a second AFTER his jaket was pulled, meaning it was a ghost, or someone behind him had a string attatched to two parts of his jaket, making a pulley system that could pull downward and backwards, making him jerk back.....

After seeing this vid, I don't really understand how Grant could have felt that tug... The movement appears to be going down, but the part of the collar that moves is slightly away from his head, so I don't really understand how he could have felt that. If that happened to me, I dont think I would have felt it.
This is a really good analysis and a good theory, but it seems like a bit of a stretch... His hand is in his pants pocket. Watch another video. This video cuts out his hand. In this video it does look like it is his coat pocket. But if you watch a better video, you will see his hand is in his pants pocket, not his coat pocket.

Here is one thing that I did notice, just one millisecond before the collar of his jacket gets pulled and you can still see Gants right sholder, it dips as if he is pulling down on some thing... And here is another ponit... When some one is grabed from behind wit henough force to pull his upper body backwards, a normal reaction would be to use both arms to keep your ballance, but he only uses his left... this proves that his right hand is already occupied by some thing else.
maybe he made such a dramatic posture the first tug because, lets face it, his collar was pulled. i'd stop dead in my tracks, and momentum would cause me to try and keep going forawrd. another thing is what if it was a finger hooking the collar and pulling softly? if you cant recreate it in real life you fail.

I think that all of the evidence against the hood pull is compelling, both in this video and in others posted on youtube. However, on one video I watched, debunking this, it had thermal footage. Now from the angle that the hood was being tugged, the "string" would have to have been attached to the outside of the hood, at least on the tip in order to pull down and out. Therefore, leads me to think that the "string" would have showed up on thermal... any thoughts? That's all mine is...

This video doesn't debunk anything. It suggests what could have happened. Change the name of this video to Jacket Pull Possibility. This is not proof think about it. If someone or something were to pull someone from their hood like that, you're going to pull from the top down to grab the whole hood for a total grip on the person. You're not going to grab a small section and pull back or you'll lose your grip. This video doesn't debunk anything. Just gives us an idea of what might have happened.

It's a shame, cause I like ghost hunters. but yeah the bit at the end when Grant pats him and the jacket pulls down says it all. Even in this clip you notice him leaning to the side a bit and he never takes his dam hand out of his pocket. I must admit ever since I have been watching the newer shows I have noticed alot more evidence has surfaced and things seem a bit more staged. Plus I keep finding flaws in some of the evidence. Stuff I feel I could easily debunk.
I noticed something: the tug is conveniently "in frame" all three times. It's like photographing lightning strikes three in a row. How lucky could that possibly be to know precisely where to aim the camera? Unless, the lightning was helping you.

He could have been mistaken about the pulled back part and it was only that something grabbed ahold of the collar. Have you every been suddenly stopped by someone or something, (say your sleeve gets caught on a door handle) and mistaken it for a tug. I know that there are several ways that this could be debunked but if science brands all supernatural events as fraudulent, "a natural kind of fact of which we do not yet know the full extent" (said by philosopher William James) might be missed.

there's another video that shows one of the other guys messing with his jacket, and when he pats him on the back the jacket makes the EXACT same movement. there's a string in there somewhere. easy as that. i never liked these guys, their credibility was botched when i watched one of their shows and EVERY time they played and EVP recording, they would always have background music so oyu couldn't hear it clearly

If you douchebag skeptics actually watched this show many, many times you would learn that Jason and Grant seem to be stand-up, hard working guys who do this on the side for fun and genuinely want to help terrified families. I have watched several Internet debunkers in action and find them on the whole a great deal less "scientific" than their subjects who, it should be admitted, could stand a little more scientific rigor in their work. What I see mostly are mere speculations about the images we see -- clearly biased speculations. In this particlar sequence, I don't see what the debunker tells me I am seeing -- just as I often don't see what TAPs personnel tels me I'm seeing.

Crazy! Crazy! People, the show has a staging crew, these guys might of been genuine in the beginning, but look at how they don't even investigate peoples homes anymore and they are always going to a "business". The show and the ideas are getting tiresome. It seems that anyone who likes them will find any excuse to prove they are real. These guys are under contract and they have to deliver, if they don't than there is no show. The seasons are getting shorter and so are their careers.

it's actually kind of real becuase his other hand was in his poket and couldn't have moved, so if something pulled him backwards, only his left hand could move, witch it did. and just becuase it did doesn't mean it's an invisible string trick, becuase his arm moved about a half a second AFTER his jaket was pulled, meaning it was a ghost, or someone behind him had a string attatched to two parts of his jaket, making a pulley system that could pull downward and backwards, making him jerk back.....

I really do love this show, but I get what some of you are trying to say. The small tug of his collar or whatever does seem a little fishy to me too.
After seeing this vid, I don't really understand how Grant could have felt that tug... The movement appears to be going down, but the part of the collar that moves is slightly away from his head, so I don't really understand how he could have felt that. If that happened to me, I dont think I would have felt it.

In this video it does look like it is his coat pocket. But if you watch a better video, you will see his hand is in his pants pocket, not his coat pocket.

Here is one thing that I did notice, just one millisecond before the collar of his jacket gets pulled and you can still see Gants right sholder, it dips as if he is pulling down on some thing... And here is another ponit... When some one is grabed from behind wit henough force to pull his upper body backwards, a normal reaction would be to use both arms to keep your ballance, but he only uses his left... this proves that his right hand is already occupied by some thing else.

I think that all of the evidence against the hood pull is compelling, both in this video and in others posted on youtube. However, on one video I watched, debunking this, it had thermal footage. Now from the angle that the hood was being tugged, the "string" would have to have been attached to the outside of the hood, at least on the tip in order to pull down and out. Therefore, leads me to think that the "string" would have showed up on thermal... any thoughts? That's all mine is...

This video doesn't debunk anything. It suggests what could have happened. Change the name of this video to Jacket Pull Possibility. This is not proof think about it. If someone or something were to pull someone from their hood like that, you're going to pull from the top down to grab the whole hood for a total grip on the person. You're not going to grab a small section and pull back or you'll lose your grip. This video doesn't debunk anything. Just gives us an idea of what might have happened.

Your evidence doesn't have me convinced. The rest of his jacket wouldn't move anyway because of the strain of fabric stretched across his shoulders. And this was the first pull..when he wasn't pulled back, only startled. Arguing that it was pulled "down" instead of "back" is a pretty far reach. Maybe if you could deunk it a bit further....

ghost hunter is an intertaing, interesting show and i believe most of the people are honorable, try walking through a dark house and keeping your demeaner when something pulls on you, have you ever been so starteled that you clutch something and until the situation is over, not even relize you hand something in your hand? give them a break, like or dislike, but dont ruin it for true fans

Yes it would shake a person up if "Something" was pulling on you. However, when it is your own hand pulling a string it's not so scary. Great debunk FORMERGHFAN !

It's a shame, cause I like ghost hunters. but yeah the bit at the end when Grant pats him and the jacket pulls down says it all. Even in this clip you notice him leaning to the side a bit and he never takes his dam hand out of his pocket. I must admit ever since I have been watching the newer shows I have noticed alot more evidence has surfaced and things seem a bit more staged. Plus I keep finding flaws in some of the evidence. Stuff I feel I could easily debunk.

I noticed something: the tug is conveniently "in frame" all three times. It's like photographing lightning strikes three in a row. How lucky could that possibly be to know precisely where to aim the camera? Unless, the lightning was helping you.

In the beginning...integrity was key. Only absolute irrefutable evidence was allowed. Things many considered very good was scoffed by Jason & dismissed by Grant. Fame and fortune more often than not lure celebrities to cave. Musicians/Bands, Actors, Models, etc. Too many people feed off of their success & they "brainwash" them into believing it's okay to break the rules "just this once". It's sad they too, fell prey. I would forgive them if they would take the high road, fess up & start anew.

i watched ghost hunters for a year and was dissapointed when on the halloween show i saw them get into place and start to pretend they have been working along .when the comercial break ended early
