Britney Spears Live Freakshow Tampa Circus Tour March 8, 2009

Those who criticise that it's just like watching a live 2 hour music video fail to understand that this is exactly the appeal of this show!

All the fans have seen her drop the theatrics & belt out a live song before - this time she's got a heavy touring schedule from March until November & wants to put on an elaborate spectacle without burning out.

Ticket sales would suggest that she has achieved a successful balance! Fans are thrilled with this tour, & she's making alot of money. Money talks!

Whilst I agree that this tour uses way more playback and smoke-and-mirrors than ever before, NOBODY has left a Britney Spears concert without hearing her sing live.

She doesn't go to great lengths to disguise the playback, there's no question that the bulk of this tour is pre-recorded whilst the 'mistress of ceremonies' concentrates her efforts on the on-stage stunts, props, dancing and magic tricks...

But this is the 'Circus' tour, and that's exactly the point! It's more a theatrical show...
