Agreed about the lighting. I did it all in one take and since I did it myself, I couldn't actually see what the result was. I'm surprised how harsh the light was, when it was barely on. It might look better either through a softbox to diffuse the light more, or with an adjustment of white balance. I didn't change the WB from the initial take.
The mic is a Rode Videomic. I linked to it in the description. There is a "pro" version that's out but the cost different wasn't worth it to me.

Adding the additional mic made a difference, although I couldn't tell anything changed when you added the extra umph to it. What kind of mic is it?
Did not like any of the lighting scenarios with the new light.
