on my 2nd lesson 1963 FI Tom Teasley (RIP) pulled the mixture in a50 out of S Miami's old Aero Country Club, and asked "what now?" I think I replied "we fly directly to the scene of the crash?"
That looked like the Top of the River Resturant in Guntersville,Al, you can float right up to the dock or roll up on land ,they have a ramp! Good place to eat also! Good video by the way!
"Hey, the engine started working again." The best line ever! That's a comment that was normal (and serious) back in the 80s when everyone was using the Cuyuna engines. Thank god Rotax saved the day!
True, as a pilot, you would want to know how the aircraft handles, rate of decent and what not, if the engine ever quit; which is very possible and has happened to many, many pilots more then once. The training these guy's are doing, is the best thing any good pilot would do.
Good landing!
btw: Nice Rolex :p

They should rename the Rotax 912 the Rotax 911 because that's what you end up dialing after every flight.

The airplane in this video is NOT a Lake Buccaneer; it's a homebuilt airplane called a "Buccaneer II." --Lake pilot
