  • It's kind of frightening when you think about it. Using sound waves in such a manner. I can't imagine what power output must be. Hundreds of watts? Maybe thousands? Yikes!

    This makes me wonder whether Richard Wrangham's cooking hypothesis might be right. (When are you going to review his book?)

    I have OAS (oral allergy syndrome), so there's a whole bunch of raw fruits and vegetables that I can't eat (because my body mistakes them for birch tree pollen), but if those same foods are cooked or highly processed, then they don't bother me at all. Strange in a way.
