@teezer123 Better with bass...?! chorists with that, and brass and stuff... No need all that, this is pure stuff man. That's what it is and should remain...i think
Please check out our alternative cover of soul to squeeze or my newly recorded Tighten up which is on our/my channel it would mean so much to us as young and aspiring musicians, if you like it please subscribe because once we have received a reasonable amount of subscribers we will be releasing more covers as a full band with our drummer
Thickfreakness blew my head off when it came out, but now i actually love this band. Brothers was a different level of songwriting and confidence and El Camino sounded lighter and a bit throw away on first listen but now i can honestly say its one of the best albums ive heard in my life.
I just think it's amazing that two men can command an audience like that. LONG LIVE THE BLACK KEYS. Along with bands like The White Stripes and The Kills, they helped save rock music. Can't wait to see them live!!!
Dear Dan and Patrick on the drums (once again, that's Patrick right there on the drums), *thank you* so much for giving us this super-hot *summer* album in December to get us through the cold winter. You guys are 50% rock, 50% roll, and that adds up to 120% *brilliant*!!!
They may sound too polished for some on the new albums, but live, they're just as raw as ever, and that's enough for me. Talent spills out of these guys' toes, and it's going to for a long time.
Thank you to who posted this!! they are truely an amazing band and it's great for those of us on the other side of the country that can't see them at the big festivals, to feel like we were there.
@leadfeet31 agreed. these guys are good songwriters. but i mean as instrumentalists, far from the greatest. some of the younger new talent can kick the shit out of their chops.
@TheShammies uh. derek trucks. warren haynes. lukas nelson. me. uh. maybe its not on mtv, but if you are all enough of posers to watch that shit and think thats whats out there today, thats pretty ignorant. lukas nelson, at 22-3 or whatever, can play infinitely better than this poser. these guys write well thought out structured songs, and good vocal lines. but their live shows arent great. i played in a guitar/drum duo for 10 years, so this is rather disappointing. timing is horrible
@37sikora It's not on MTV, nor are they anywhere. Don't know how that makes me a poser since I don't know that they even existed. I barely know the Black Keys because their song was featured on a movie.
I do know about 22-20s, but I never compared TBK to them. Funny how you don't even know their name but still call them infinitely better. How? I don't know.
Lastly, this performance isn't a disappoint in my mind. I don't know WHY you hate them to this degree.
@TheShammies guitar mistakes everywhere, and the drummer gets off. not very solid. and the backing band isn't doing anything spectacular for the music. i just like their vocal melodies and style. i just wish theyd get a real bassist, and the dude would focus more on being a little better at the guitar. have more to say with it or something. man. i dunno.
@37sikora First off, they're playing their own songs, not renditions of others'. Guitar mistakes or not, they can play them however they want. Also, most artists avoid playing their songs exactly like the studio versions. Why? You're an artist, you tell me.

I found this concert to be slightly on the weak side, especially w/the guitar work. They seemed to have lost their edge a bit.

Not saying that you're wrong, but barely anyone plays blues-rock nowadays.
