One of the focal points of this story is the challenge to the traditional Chinese taboo of intimate relationship between an older woman and a younger man. So, WTF was the director doing by casting a then 17-year old girl to play the part of a female senior and a nearly 30-year-old man to play the younger man. It lessen the social impact of the story.
