true as far as physical demand goes. but to stress down the fierceness of the competition and stop players from getting exhausted or tired too quickly , one needs to develop smart intelligent play instead of forcing yourself into involve in a slugfest.
for that reason wooden racquets will help concentrate on game in general. then results will automatically come. add to that physical demand , spectators will get to see more matches. wta i have no clue.

they should just play tennis with wooden rackets one whole tournament in the entire year.
