  • Holy shit! 150 hp from a 5.0? God, Ford knows how to milk the power out of those things!

  • @MangoSmoothie16 it was all the emissions b.s. added to meet federal law that killed power.

  • i had an 87 and would love to have it back what a nice car

  • I wish cars still where designed like this :(

  • the car is very nice but the stereo car isn't original u.u the stereo car original is 8 track

  • @santi308 No it isn't, they came with cassettes or optional CD players.

  • @L1011tristar17 Oh pardon, that it seemed that was not the original

  • Comment removed

  • @L1011tristar17 its a 1988 casette players were used

  • @ice11cold The cars came with a standard cassette player, but an additional CD player was available in 1987. It was mounted underneath the radio near where the ashtray is.

  • @santi308 it's a 1988 cassette players were used

  • No way 34315 miles, american car's odometers rollover, unless grandma only took it to church only on sundays, it most likely has 134215 or even 234215 miles, or... no it probably wouldn't be working at that next number. I had the same issue with an american Mercury I bought, thought it was 60000 miles, checked engine notes, nope 160000 miles. GM and Ford didn't expect to last into the 100,000 mile range I guess, weird idk.

  • @marcvie9 I think Youtube is on the fritz today, I can't seem to find a video of YOUR car.

  • @L1011tristar17 Mercedes-Benz C200 W203 elegance

  • @marcvie9 Pretty nice cars. Is it an older Mercedes? You should post a video of it.

  • 93 town car, 99 continental, 99 navigator. love lincolns!

  • 5:34: The second hand on the clock is stuck. lol.

  • not a bad old beater... but its so ugly. The LTD Crown Victoria of the same year was a really nice looking car.

  • urgh what an ugly horn

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper heat wave over here right now lol. I love Chicago sports thats why I wanna move to chitown

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper Green Bay Wisconsin... lol... But once I get out of college i wanna move to chicago i love it there. what about you?

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper lol. dude i cant agree more... all the kids at my school only listen to Lil Wayne and Drake... they suck ass. They need to know the real rap... Run D.M.C... LL Cool J, Biggie, Tupac...

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper lol to be honest im actually 15.. btw ive seen your channel you got good taste in music old school rap is the best

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper I never said I was 16... And whats wrong with a towncar? They're really nice rides. I also love Cadillacs and Hondas.

  • Was a that a walmart near by? Lmfao.

  • Thank you so much! I am buying this same car same year and everything for my first car!

  • PRNDD1?

  • Nice ride.

  • I love this generation Town Car. I don't knot if I like this generation or the 90-97 generation better. Both are amazing. I'd be happy with either one. If only this had the leather seats and electronic dash I'd be set. :D

  • I found a 86 back home, problem being the rear end was being rebuilt from an accident, its all fixed up and what not but I dont know where to find the tail-lights and rear bumper other than a junkyard, and the local junkyards dont have these older town cars FTL

  • I love this car SO much.:)

  • my first car lol

  • @mcarson812 Same here.. well an 89

  • @crownvicguy thats whats up mines was 89 too

  • The clock hangs!! That temperature gage is pretty awesome :P

LOL @ 150hp from 5L but lots of torque though :)

Not too clean of a car but still pretty nice :)

  • with a professional clean this car will look like it came off the show room floor

  • @mikenotmikey

I'm not sure... it does have some wear & tear too.

  • Very stylish! :-)

  • cool video... but what kind of a Lincoln Towncar has apolstry interior? shameful... Cadillac Seville's (79) had the same power close feature on the trunk... i assume the feature was given up on from the pain of fingers getting caught in it =)

  • man you are a shit salesman! clean the car for fuksake!

  • @durko83

This is his job to go to dealerships and review cars dude. Don't talk shit if you don't know the info

  • i have an 89, mint with 62,000 miles. all leather, tan on tan signature series. ill upload a video of it. this one doesnt do justice to the lincoln man!

  • i have an 89, mint with 62,000 miles. and a transmission with 800 miles. i hate fords.

  • send me your phone number

  • It's just a longer version of the Grand Marquis and the original sticker price was more. I would've just bought a Grand Marquis back in the day vs. spending more on the Town Car. Comfortable ride for sure!

  • the 1981-1989 Lincoln Town Car was assembled in

    Wixom, Michigan, USA

  • Yorktown VA?

  • sounds like a weed wacker

  • look i just bought the 88 lincocn town car limo edition however needs some work to get goin again and if anyone on here has some info or anything even the poster of the video man any you know tips about the vehicle and info about it would be greatly appreciated

  • that interior roof light looks to be same as in my 89 pontiac safari. lincoln and gm used same parts? hmmm

  • i think they use the same interior light..ford and GM Did...thats all though

  • That seems like really low horsepower for a V8.

Also love the extras on that car. You really gotta pay for luxuries like that these days.

  • wooowwww...that bulb that you said was out, was just not in its place. it was flashing, you could see that when you moved the camera to see under the bumper

  • @Mirron1 Looks more to me like the running lights on the front fender.

  • is there a 302 in that thing or can you put one in it

  • @tynanmc5 It has a 302 5.0l

  • Thats when lincoln were made for luxury... not to look all sporty and quick and shit! man i want one of those cars! lol

  • nice and rust free just the way i like it

  • That stupid clock isnt working haha.

  • I think you meant to say 134k miles, not 34....no way in hell only 34k

  • that's an awesome car pretty good shape too.

  • CADILLAC IS BETTER!!!!!!

  • I would say the 84's had a much better look than these, and one thing I hate is the smog pump on these. They definitely take a chunk out of the horsepower

  • @Jakeman2164 I know how to spell freak, I do it that way to add personalty to my insult!

  • @Jakeman2164 freek!

  • were u scared to get in the back seat?

  • Shame on them they disconnected the chime! Maybe it broke?

  • Comment removed

  • That was about the fastest old car windows i have ever seen! LOL!

  • @6589justin My 88 ram's are faster

  • My grandfather had a two-door Lincoln automobile. They really are very reliable cars if you treat them right. And it was one of his most valuable cars. Shame he sold it.

  • I've always loved this body style of the Town Car. This one runs really good, and starts up great!!!! It just could use a little cleaning/tlc.

  • The damn stuck clock is really pissing me off for some reason.

  • 5.0L V8= 150hp & 270ft/lb torque

    hmmm...

  • @Bosmob why such a low HP? Nowadays a 5.0 V8 may get between 340-400+ HP.

  • @chaseman94 In the 80's, cars were tuned for economy.

  • @talldude123 now it makes sense. thanks

  • @chaseman94 Emission controls that sucked HP right out of the car like sucking the life out of something.

  • Hey kyle, if you ever can, can you do a review on a extended Ford Aerostar. If so, dont forget to show the bed they have!

  • 34k miles for an '88? Wow! Also, Incubus ftw!

  • @hcs4life21 It has a 5-digit odometer. So really, could be 134,000 miles.

  • I know you are busy with school and all, but it would be cool if you had time to start a mini series, even if you did like one a week, on fridays or something, on like classic cars. In any kind of shape. Some cars that some people will never get the chance to see in real life, but on your channel. That would be great for views. Thats just my input though, i understand it would take a lot of work.

  • It's hard to drift with those ! steer - "Handbrake" - drift - set trans to 1st - Brake Release - steer - gas, LOL

  • love these vids x)

  • Classic! That inteior looks sooooo nice and comfy!!!

  • Though i really love these cars, it amazes me how little horsepower they get per liter (this could be said about many american cars up until the early 2000's). a 5 liter V8 with 150 HP? Thats ridiculous. Still want this car though. Also, notice how the speedometer puts an emphasis on 55 MPH and it goes up to 85, which was required by law during the 55 maximum era. Also, that gas tank is huge (for good reason)

  • i wanna put longhorns on the front of it!!

  • lol @ the clock second hand freakin out.

  • If I could choose, I'd take a Town Car for every trip around town any day.

  • take the town car for a drive love the old town cars

  • Shows you how far cars have come in 22 years, 150hp from a 5.0 v8,

We can eaisly get that fro ma 2.0 4 cylinder now

  • @throughlou you have a good point there, but the thing is that, around the 80's is when one of the first major oil crises hit, and small, effiecient japanese cars were brought to the US market, and american car companies responded by dramatically lowering compression and power output in order to keep up. look back to the 60's and 70's, most 305 V8's and sometimes smaller made upwards of 250-300HP, the 80's is when things went downhill.

  • That's gotta be a base model

  • Grandpa or Grandma car a 22 year old car he or she probably drove to the grocery store.

  • @flc2009 Yea,.and to the bingo hall and back once a week.

  • Normally I don't see the appeal to these "old man cars", but this one is oddly appealing to me. I feel like it doesn't try to be cool; it just is. Plus, my friends would love it, and the styling nowadays says "I dont take myself too seriously".

    Just my two cents.

  • @cyberboy855 couldn't agree more

  • AWESOME!! Thanks for the upload! Lil; newer than mine...lol THUMBS UP!!

  • Back when a Lincoln was a Lincoln... beautiful car.

  • @Z0hann yup, saw a 92 buick roadmaster the other day and said the same thing, only back when a buick was a buick. until the enclave came out, there was kind of a 10 year sucking spree in between

  • 02:35 i see the marker light blinking under the bumper...lol

  • and for everyone who doesn't know, the 302 5.0 engine that is in this car is not exactly the same as the mustang's, or f-150, there are suttle differences.

  • Wow I love how you upload almost DAILY!! :P

  • @SilveradoNation01 Not almost, every day! haha unless something prevents me, I will always have at least 1 a day :D

  • believe it or not, this was the first year cars started coming with keyless entry remotes, and if you got the top of the line version of this car, you got a remote

  • Nice Town Car!

  • somebody installed those cup holders that you see in walmart

  • I think you need more Lincolns on youre channel

  • I really enjoyed this video. That is a base town Car from 1998. Three dead giveaways: the instrumentation , the climate control , and the seats . The gas mileage was not bad on these Town Cars from this era. This was one of my favorite Town Car designs. That car has held up well. That car also had great interior room.

    Thanks Kyle

  • rare to find these cars in really nice condition

  • Its bigger than TEXAS.

And I GodDamn love it! Thanks Kyle!

    :D

  • clock fail @ 5:30

  • Thanks for the vid Kyle if you get the chace do you think you could do a dodge ram hemi mega cab

  • Listening to Def Leppard's Hysteria in an '88 Town Car...classic '80s.

  • everybody who played gta san andreas will know that this is the virgo... srry for my bad english

  • 134,415 miles since it does not have the sixth digit. That's my wild guess.

  • This would have been a heck of a luxury car back then. Power windows in 1988 wow. btw the clock stopped working at 5:40 lol

  • @MeInTheNewWorld Power windows were in a lot of cars back in the 80's

  • @datboiwes333 Mmm might be just the place I was then. I remembered where I was, the 70s/ 80s was really when cars became household. They weren't very good with features and stuff and were like extremely expensive.

  • @MeInTheNewWorld yeah I meant to say luxury cars back then lol

  • Back when cars came equipped with couches as standard inside!

  • how come the back doors have 2 switches on them?

  • Comment removed

  • @jpg42893 one switch was for the window on the other side... you could control both rear windows from the back

  • @jpg42893 one switch controls the window and the other controls a reading lamp...i own an '84..lol Beautiful cars!

  • I love these things. My grandmother had an 87 Town Car back in the day. It felt like it was floating on clouds when driving.

  • LOL @mercmilan06 has this exact car on his channel but its in "Davesfarm" condition LOL

  • Work of art

  • great shape! needs a bit of a clean up but no big deal.. accept my viddy response? :D

  • Nice

  • i love this car. I'm definitely going to buy one when I'm older

  • damm i looks really good for all those miles, greatthings from argentina.

  • Pimp!

  • OMG we had a 88 town car it looked just like this one same color and everything but ours was even better condition and had leather seats, it would of been my car to but I wanted a sports car and I do regret not taking it : (

  • Looks like this one could use your detailing expertise. Little details make all the difference.

  • i absolute enjoy this video and the car

and i bet cars as these can t park in my city or be hard to find a parking spot

stil love these cars thank you

  • they make one hek of a derby car

  • Thank you Kyle. I`ve had several Town cars in the past as well as Cadillac Fleetwood Broughams, still like the cadillacs better but lincolns were nice too.

  • i had an 87 silver on red

  • We have almost the exact same car sitting in our yard and I've got a video on it, same color, 88k miles, leather(ette?) blue interior, original wheel covers, and stock stereo head unit lol...oh and the roof is blue vinyl too, still runs haha

  • kinda funny this car has automatic windows and locks but my cuz just bought a 2011 nissan versa and it dosent even have that not even cruise control.

  • @Hordesthugz13 If you have the Versa 1.6 of course it's going to be basic. This Lincoln was the flagship.

  • i think you're supposed to turn on the high beams in order for the inner bulbs to work

  • @celsovera91 I think he was talking about the blinker.

  • car compants need to make seats like they use to instead of the cheap stuff they use today

  • that car is diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirty

  • best lincoln town car ever i love tho cars i think tho ones are the best one tho and the 70's one lol

  • Very useful ashtray

  • 00:36 my god it's wierd to see someone unlocking the car with the key :P

  • Wow even my Corolla doesn't have power windows :O

  • @k3vanoo your Corolla isn't a luxury car...

  • 1988 they had automatic windows...nice..If you drive this car back than...You would be one of the richest dude in town

  • @Doncreationsur they had electric windows long before that

  • What's the name of the motor company?

  • @clumpy12 It's a Lincoln... lmao

  • @carsaregood911 I know XD I meant, What is the name of the dealership? XD

  • the 1985 mercedes would be my choice of the luxury cars of that time! but this is a very good one though!

    good job kyle

  • That thing is MINT!

  • @gajda1984 maybe not as mint as i thought. but it is pretty nice.

  • Great video as always Kyle! What a beautiful older Town Car!

  • Nothing like classic "boating" Good job Kyle!

  • Wow! I love it! Thank you ! Keep up the amazing work!

  • Comment removed

  • i prefer the Cadillac. it seems to be just better looking and more unique.

  • Very nice and very well equipped but us in the UK love to slag this typical American car off for nothing having round edges. I mean they put all that thought into making a car that has everything appart from style on the outside.

  • @fresky74 I find this car to be stylish. I own a 1989 model, and I get loads of compliments about how it looks.
