Hey, Mike, what are some good cameras that can use infrared light as illumination? And will the combination of an LED infrared light give the view the green tint? If not, then what does? If you could answer that for me, then that would be a very big help. Thank you.
Nice video. Pretty much what I thought. You just confirmed it for me. All the videos out there basically say to use a tv remote control to point at your camera and if you see the light, it can see IR. I knew it wasn't as easy as that. I just needed to find your video to explain it fully. Thanks.
Thanks for the video.. Its just saved me £20.. As that all I was intending to do... Just buy a IR light source and be done with not seeing in the dark...
I have searched and searched, but it looks like SIMA is no longer producing those IR lights! There are a few and far between companies that sell them, but u basically have to be in the right place at the right time! Seems like they come...and then they go!! These little lights are a pain right in the be-hind to find! I don't know why with such a demand nowadays! Also, if you do find these small IR lights, you are not guaranteed they will work will all cameras! So be cautious when buying...(:
I have a budget of a about $600 at max and I want a night vision camcorder that is HD, as I have a Sony night vision camcorder but it records to disk which is a shit to get of, so is there any current models of camcorder that are HD and have night vision for $600 or less
ok im thinking about buying this sima thing for my camcorder but idk if it will work or not. I have the insiginia high def camcorder. I tryed tht think with tv switcher and it worked. My camcorder has a thig called digtal light and in advanced settings if u go to scene it has a 4 options and one is night. Will the sima work for my camcorder. Thanks
Thanks Mike. Great video. I'm wondering if a 3 watt light with a red lens will look as bright as a 3 watt IR. I have a Sony SR-11 with good night vision. Most animals won't run from a light with red lens so I use it to video at night. I just want to know if a IR would help more because the camcorder will be picking up more of the IRs light?
I, myself work in a much differnt way than he does so to me, i don't use what he teaches however, i do watch his videos. When i want to capture a ghost on film, i use the principals of infinity dimension and light refraction while manipulating the environmental wave particals to create an alternative dimensional atmosphear. Then, when the ghost appears, i take its picture.
@screamfreack79 hey mike I tride take out the ant Tena and it work a bit then I put in the tin foil box and there was no noise at all it work great but we still can't called real u
shoud give a try if u don't get it I'll post a vid
@screamfreak79 hey I was wonder about the ghost box, the newer modle has ant-tena (sorry for the spelling) if u take that completey out will it still scan and put it in a tin foil box if didn't no it cuts out the radio noise.
here is some new digital hd camera not sure if its IRD but se whole neighborhood with it and it records in FULL HD watch?v=FLVsb8_UKHg&feature=related
I told a friend to look up your "How to make an IR night vision light cheaply" and he is very happy with the results (its used for fauna research) on his game trail.
PS: Have you seen NQGHOSTHUNTER's recent video's? If so what do you think? You have to do another debunk cause I have no idea how is doing some of these things, any idea's?
Hi Mike, my question is somewhat related to your video here. In your opinion, does time of day for investigations need to be conducted at night or in darkness?
I ask because, as you are aware, some paranormal phenomenon occurs both day and night, sometimes in the morning, or noon, etc. etc.
As for a video request, can you make a video about visual spectrums and their ranges for digital photography? You are an excellent presenter and think people would benefit concerning "ghosts".
@OCPRS A good portion of claims presented to us by our clients happen during the day or with the lights on. Most people are awake and about during the day so it would make sense that daytime would be a great time to investigate. Daytime investigations are underrated. I think more people should investigate during the day. It might even open doors to places you couldn't be in after dark.
I am starting to learn more about spectrums so I think your video suggestion may happen in the near future.
Wow, I am greatful to you because just this information is hard to come by when buying a camera or camcorder. The sales reps do NOT know much about this. So now I have a cam NEX-3 that takes great close day shots lol. As you know, it does not work for what I ACTUALLY wanted it for
Please, I need to respond as soon as possible, make and model of camera you use? excuse the translation, is made with google

JonathanMichaelSpain 7 months ago
@JonathanMichaelSpain Not sure how to go about it, but you can modify a standard camera to see IR light.
screamfreak79 7 months ago
@screamfreak79 Thanks for your help, I guess most of the "newer HD" camcorders won't illuminate infrared unless it has it built in.
