I have had three standard poodles and tey have all been magnificent. I will be picking up a new black puppy in 3 weeks I hope he or she is as beautiful as yours.
Thanks, Skyla is nearly 8 months old, she weighs just over 23 kilos, and is 25 inches at the shoulder. When she stands on her back legs she can reach up to 63 inches with her front paws. I have an extra tall puppy-gate in the kitchen doorway as she can reach to the back of all counter-tops, and I think she is still growing.
she eats those chews as if there isn't a minute to spare, but she's not really greedy with her food. The food manners she has learnt since attending puppy classes seemed to be going well, however, yesterday a lemon muffin was stolen from the kitchen, and the crumbs (and a guilty look) were on Skyla's face.
Beautiful dog! We have a standard too and we love him.

Thanks for commenting. We also had a Standard for over 13 years, and she was a beautiful girl. We lost her in Oct '07.
After 3 months passed, we were lucky to hear of a litter quite near to our home, and in Jan '08, the gorgeous Skyla became ours.
She is full of energy, funny, very intelligent, curious, bossy and headstrong sometimes, but also a lovable little doll.
Good luck with your new puppy, and give him or her a cuddle from me.
