That's right on, man. Seems like no matter who you are, someone's got a bone to pick with you. They want to make your life hell, and as a child, you're often in situations where your hands are tied. Either by straight up rules, or a subtle conditioning to lead you to behave as such. This is a factor for many adults as well. You're your own best defense... It takes a dinosaur-thick skin, and you've gotta find inspiration from within.
You're absolutely right brother... bullies are generally scared of people different than them... and also generally of lower intelligence. I used to see that at school and it would always make me mad enough to get involved.
I have actually been bullied some myself when I was in elementary school... but luckily a few of my friends were bigger than the bully, LOL!
People need to realize you can't go around hurting people without consequences.
I had my share of bullies when I was a kid. Those experience is what got me into training martial arts to kick but. Oddly enough once I learnt enough self-defense and got more braver I didn't feel like hurting anyone the way they hurt me, I just responsibly walked away from confrontations. I feel that more people if they can should help out more victims of bullies instead of ignoring the problem so that these incidents don't grow to big to handle. IMHO, "self defense" does not only involve someone trying to hurt your physically...but anyone trying to take away your right to not be mocked or to make you feel like you are without honor. To quote the Kenpo creed "I come to you with only Karate, my empty hands, I have no weapons. But should I be forced to defend myself, my PRINCIPLES or my HONOR, should be a matter of life or death, of right or wrong, then here are my weapons, karate -- my empty hands.
If there is one thing I can not stand...it's a bully. I was a small/skinny kid when I was young and I got bullied constantly. Telling teachers did absolutely no good -- they did not listen. Even when my parents got the school board involved, the teachers didn't do their jobs. There was one thing the bullies understood -- an ass-kicking. I don't condone violence, but sometimes, unfortunately, it's necessary to end something evil.
i know people say this all the time and dont mean it but
