  • Am I the only one who noticed that view!?

  • Beautiful bird, Beautiful dog, and love his eyes!! <3

  • OMG ! I dont know who's cuter ! Beautiful markings on that vicious pit bull ,lolol. Jake is stunning :)

  • why vicious they are nice dogs

  • what beautiful creatures.

  • Ih ave one word for these two....

    DAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! ^__^

  • LOOK AT THAT DOGS EYES!!!! I think he´s on crack!

  • HEY! P.P. first I saw the thumbnail image, then I saw those incredible eyes and I knew when I clicked I was going to find my fb friend. Bet you thought I dropped off the map. no, just fb of all facebook, you are bout the only one I miss. you do good things. hope you remember me. I'll bet you will. can visit my channel here if you want. peace, hope 2 hear from you!

  • Gorgeous bird, and I agree with the "garden" person, you should think about breeding him.

We can't let that species die out with the rainforests.

  • thats cute.

  • I hope you breed this bird. This species is incredibly endangered.

  • @leffehoegaarden Not THAT endangered. There are plenty of breeding programs, owners don't need to scramble and breed their parrots. The species won't die out tomorrow.

  • Two of my favorite things- parrots and pitties! How adorable! They are both seriously beautiful.

  • your pit is GORGEOUS. I need a collar like that for my red dobe.

  • Hahaha...

The parrot owned pit bull from 0:33 to 0:38... :D

  • I like your view from your deck. I'm jealous.

  • i love it when the rope drops, Romeo picks it back up, brings it up to the bird, so they can continue playing tug of war.....so cute !!

  • I havent met many gentler breeds than pitbulls... All in how you raise them. Beautiful bird by the way

  • your dog is so beautiful

  • Two of the most daunting specimens of their respective species are also two of the most gentle :D

Cute video, I like how the dog started the game up, lol.

  • Cute. ^___^ My only concerns are that even the gentlest dog can become a little *too* playful in a split second, and that birds are highly susceptible to disease, and therefore it may not be too great for him to chew on something that's been in a dog's mouth. Dogs put some pretty foul things in their mouths, after all. Even if these two are fine, I do worry about others attempting this and risking the lives of their animals.

You're right about well-raised pits, though--big sissies. XD

  • @Linaeth A human's mouth is actually more digusting in comparison to any dog. People forget to what extent theres bacteria on them. Not to mention there's a lot of bacteria that lives in us that we can't live without.

Birds can be just as agressive. There are plenty that will kill other birds or hard humans.

  • @finnsia

I never denied that. I never said birds can't be aggressive or that humans are clean creatures. I know full well that humans' mouths should never make contact with a bird either and that a macaw can break bones with little effort (I'm a zoologist and a parrot keeper myself). But dogs CAN be rough, too, and their mouths are by no means clean. People say that because dogs carry species-specific bacteria that don't harm HUMANS. What's safe for you may not be safe for a bird.

  • @finnsia

Also: studies show that most people's toilets seats carry fewer bacteria than their kitchen counters. Does that make it a great idea to eat food off the toilet seat? No. Same in this case. Even if dogs were "cleaner" it doesn't make them clean. Any animal owner should choose the safe route, rather than just the lesser (or cleaner) of two evils. Birds have very delicate systems. I make sure my hands are sanitized before handling, and keep them away from other animals.

  • @finnsia Damn right about the aggressiveness birds can display when required! we had a cat and a Maximillian parrot. the prey soon became the hunter when the cat unwisely decided to put her paw through the bars of the cage one day and got bitten. she only did that once.. Another time the same cat got chased off the back of the sofa when "Max" decided she had got too close (they were both female!) hilarious to watch .the cat always kept a respectful distance after that so it worked..!

  • @MrPSY8 Human kills baby! BAN HUMANS

  • this dog have crazy eyes o.O

  • Sweet!! :)

  • @MrPSY8 It's a true fact that your 60 times more likley to get killed by a falling coconut than a pit-bull, google it.

  • @MrPSY8 Die fuckin idiot....

  • Hah! I kuje the eye color on that dock...matches the parrot

  • @MrPSY8 A Hyacinth macaw chewed someone's finger off! Ban them now!! A bear attacked someone in the woods! BAN BEARS! A gun shot someone! BAN GUNS! A pencil misspelled a word! BAN FRIGGIN PENCILS! Forks made Rosie O'Donnel Fat! BAN FORKS! What do all of these things have in common? Oh yeah, there was a HUMAN involved!

  • @PaRrOtReScUeWoTr LOLOL..<3

  • the dog has some crazy eyes....LOOL

  • @MrPSY8 du dra åt helvete din jävla skit om det händer nått här så ska då inte bry dej om det för vi är helt kapabla att ta hand om det själva så fuck you

  • WwooowW you have an amazing beautiful Bird !!!! I love it !! wow where can I get one from !!!???!

  • this is amaaaazing LOL

  • @MrPSY8 dumbass.

  • @MrPSY8 Ok a pit bull in sweden kid a child. This pit bull is very kind to the bird and he knows to play lightly and not rough like other dogs will do it seems like they are good friends so don't post things that are rude and hate full against pit bulls.

  • @MrPSY8 The owner of the dogs that go crazy and kill people beat them, starve them, taunt them, and you blame the dogs? Instead of banning the dog, ban the human. People are disgusting, and animals act how they are treated, just as children do. It's sad that you're so quick to judge an animal when they're only responding to how they have been treated. People like you are disgusting.

  • @kaykayboo101 Amen, Kaykay. Well said. The complete ignorance out there is astounding,

  • @kaykayboo101 Well said. Couldnt agree more. Thank you and bless.

  • Animals are more intelligent and intuitive than most people give them credit for. The more time you spend with them, the better you learn to read them, and vice versa. It's all about trust.

  • @MrPSY8 Take your ignorance and hate elsewhere. When a dog is vicious or does something horrible like that there is only once place to look for blame. The owner. If we were to ban every breed who harmed a child - we would have no dogs left.

  • @greyparrot266 I agree completely.

  • @greyparrot266 We would have no pets at all in fact.

  • @greyparrot266 exactly.... i agree with you

  • haha. the dog's like "NEENER NEENER NEENER~"

  • Concerning some of the comments: Hyacinths cannot crack open full-size

coconuts. Regardless of the PSI in their beaks they are gentle birds, they're

not quick movers, and their beaks are not designed to inflict a wide area of

tear and puncture damage upon flesh like the teeth of a pit bull.

  • While the vid is cute and it's easy to see that Romeo and Jake adore

one another's company, in such situations it would only take a split second

of instinct on a dog's part to kill a bird like Jake. And close supervision

is no real safeguard since such dog assaults are so lightning fast. I'm not

terribly worried about these two specifically. But some who see this vid

may be encouraged to try and duplicate the situation with their own animals.

That may result in death for a number of birds.

  • They have created their own game -- how cool! For anyone who thinks the macaw may be in danger -- I have a friend whose 300 gram cockatoo was P.O.'d at her 60 lb. dog. The dog has a wedge-shaped piece missing from his tongue.

  • you forgot to add the part where you chunk out 10,000 dollars for one of these beautiful birds.

  • Forget the animals, look at that view! I'm so jealous of your house!

  • His feathers are my fav shade of blue!

  • 11 thousand dollar meal for that dog

  • wow i just realized that your macaw's head is as big as your pit bulls. both are beautiful though. ilove the pit bull's eyes

  • beautiful macaw

  • Lol the pitbull is luiz from rio and the bird is blu! :)

  • It took a lot of hard work an patience to get my pit to accept a kitten as her little sister, now that they are older, they are the best of friends... However, when my pit sees something small and fast, or that flies, those instinctive habits kick in. We can all live in peace if we know who family is!

  • So precious !!!

  • Misleading title. That dog was as gentle as it gets. They look like best of friends... "vicious?" baaaaaaaah

  • AWWWWW! Two of my favorite animals. :3

  • If only humans could look past our differences and get along as well as these two!

  • Romeo has BOSS coloring. <33

  • Omg what a vicious animal! Thank god your macaw survived such a traumatic encounter! Haha absolutely adorable! Your pit is a cutie! Love hyacinths, too! Wish I had the means of caring for one. :(

  • omg this is so cute and so adorable! :3

The hyacinth macaws are the most beautiful of all birds to me. They are just..so beautiful. Your macaw is so funny while trying to steal the dog's toy lol.

Ur pitbull and ur hyacinth are so cute playing together!

  • wow nice dog and what a beautifull parrot!

  • hehehehe makes me remember of "RiO" Blu and Luiz! XDDDDD but i know luiz is a bulldog

  • aaaw Jake makes the cutest little growly sounds!!! Love how Romeo actaully gives the rope to him to play with...such a cute friendship! I know what you mean about not recommending parrots, especially these ones. I have a greenwing who is very demanding!! even though i was prepared for it, it's still amazing how much time he needs from me!

  • RIO !!

  • @Zathuryan the movie rio the parrots where based on spix macaws. there are only 48 of them in the world. all in captivity and 5 in the us and 43 in some other country i forgot the name to.

  • Hyacinth macaw AND an ocean view! these folks are loaded LOL

  • nice home by the sea

  • Love this!! My Conures will run over when my dog is laying down and get on him and wait for him to get up and walk around. They think it's awesome to ride around on his back....or head!!! LOL

  • lol hyacinth macaw sweeet

  • What a good pup! I'm deathly afraid of birds but PBTs are one of my favorite breeds of dogs. Romeo is a beautiful boy. Thank you for bringing him home and loving him. :)

  • Love this video! Our b/g is much meaner than our german shepard and is the gaffer!

    Lovely pair :)

  • awesome! my favorite breed of bird with my favorite breed of dog.

  • live your dogs eyes

  • LOVELY!!!!

  • You live in an Amazing place!

  • @Ilovehossain Thank you!

  • This is so lovely. I have a cockatoo and a greyhound. They are pretty good friends, although bird loves dog more than dog loves bird. My dog is a saint... Very patient. I'm glad you mentioned how difficult it is to keep a bird.. Kind of like having a baby .

  • @sassierover Thats funny. Here, the dog loves the bird more. Romeo is a saint too. Funny, two supposed high prey dogs we have. so much for sterotypes. You are so right about parrots being like having a baby. Cockatoos especially, as they are such cuddly lovebugs!! But, all parrots need so much attention, love, and interaction. most people have no clue. Cheers. I enjoyed your comment.

  • Cute video. My macaw is 10 times meaner than my pit bull.

  • @dasboot19801 Same here...lol!

  • This is so adorable! I love how Pitbulls can be so gentle! My uncle had one and he was very very gentle!! He died when he was about 9 months though:( I love this video<3

  • @SummerFoxi Thank you. Pit bulls are amazing, lovable smart dogs. Its all in how you raise them. just like children. I am so sorry about your uncles dog. So young, how very sad : (

  • how awsome a dog n bird playn tug o war

  • We have a year and a half old pitbull and are planning to get a sun conure. How should we introduce the baby bird to the dog?

  • @nikechic619 Honestly, I wouldnt recommend introducking a bird to an older dog. Unless he or she is very well trained and has been around small animals before and has no prey reaction to them. All of my dogs were very young when taught how to behave around my parrots. With a lot of dogs having such a high prey drive I just wouldnt advise it in most cases. Cheers!

  • Amazing that they get along....great video!

  • thats awsome and im not saying your dog is sketch becaues its a pitbull just b carefull you never know what a dog mite do.

  • @rspkerandhelper For sure I dont recommend most dogs interacting with birds. Romeo is very special, smart and extremely gentle. He was about 1 here. He is now almost 3. Romeo is the most gentle dog i have had around my parrots. So much for the pit bull bs. My parrots have lived with quite a few dogs, a golden, gs,cocker and american bulldog. Romeo and Jake remain the best of friends. I have many more vids of them together that i must upload.

  • the dog has crazy eyes xD

  • this is so cute

  • You got some cool pets man.

  • Way to sound condescending and elitist in your video description. I could kick that bird's ass! It couldn't handle me.

I'm joking by the way. Hyacinths are beautiful and lovely birds. You are so very lucky to one.

  • You must have the safest house in the nieghborhood!! I couldn't imagine a tougher fate than being greeted by an angry macaw!! oh and the Pitbull too....

  • @otispitbull LOL..Yes for sure beaware of the macaw. he would attack someone before my pit. lol..u know how that goes!

  • OMG that dog has some scary eyes!

  • Beautiful dog. Thank you for rescuing him, he looks so happy!

  • Guys they are fine just stop worring about them by the way i love this vid!

  • Does he try to feed the dog like a baby bird? Our parrot does.

  • @otispitbull lol , yes, sometimes he does! Cheers!

  • Ha-ha-ha the sounds that your bird makes are so cute.

  • Great! Very cool to watch it..

  • My rescued German wire hair pointer/collie mix and my Umbrella cockatoo have an understanding, Wacky (the bird who is 24 and also a rescue) won't bite Reggie if he stays away from her she is very aggressive and he knows she will bite him. people need to know they can't just let their dog and bird hang out without constant supervision. Yes please make your next dog a rescue dog, they are wonderful and so happy for a second chance and IF you can handle a bird PLEASE make your next bird a rescue!!

  • oh and it kind of creeped me out at the end when the bird cocks its head, smiles and looks right into the camera lol

  • @ENJOYtheLITTLthings lol, Good eye. most people doent even see that. In their other video Jake comes over and hits the camera lens as well. He is a funny parrot!

  • cool to see minus the music :D

  • l0l Stop playing kids!

  • This is hilarious! I was more worried for the dog than the bird, I've seen what those beaks can do. They have a better friendship than my friend's eclectus and his lab. The lab is terrified of the bird, because he makes noises.

  • @WireMan7620 Thank you. These two are so great together. Romeo will be 3 very soon and they are still best of friends. Cheers!

  • Your Pitty and birdy are gorgeous! And such amazing friends, hah~

  • awesome video! Both animals are being soo careful with the other, it's just amazing! Soo cute! Thanks for sharing!

  • Sweet!

  • Good girls go bad ... :) Nice song, beautiful bird and cute dog.

  • A very powerfu dog and a very powerful bird lol. I mean beak pressure.

  • a hyacinth has 850 pounds of crushing power in his beak (twice that of a pit bull) the pit bull has 400 pounds of crushing power. That bird in the wild opens full size cocanuts in the wild. watch out pitt bull

  • Seems like...Friends for Life...XD

They managed a dream of Human Beeings...to be friends,no matter how different they are..:O)

  • oh this is too cute!! Being a foster mom to bullies... This video made my day ! :0 )

  • @groovinluv Thank you. Also, thank you so much for fostering the bullies. Fostering is certainly the heartbeat of rescue. Cheers to you!

  • Awesome. The pit better watch out for the macaw! Pound for pound that bird has the strongest bite on the planet and that beak is designed like a pair of bone crunching scissors.

I own a B&G and a pit/chow mix. The dog runs from the bird every chance it gets!

  • Comment removed

  • LOVE THIS!

  • LOVE THIS!!

  • Aww! This is too cute!

  • I'd be scared for the dog. One bite from the HC could pop his snout off.

  • BRAVO FOR 2 LOVELY AND INCREDIBLE PETS! ALSO BRAVO FOR YOUR DESCRIPTION, ESPECIALLY ENCOURAGING RESCUE!

  • Macaw pwns him!

  • I am so scared for you bird! Dogs and birds, an accident waiting to happen=(

  • @mluc1102 It's ok for you to be scared. Often people are scared of things they do not understand or fear or stereotype. My bird and dog is NOT a accident waiting to happen. They are the best of friends and they are ALWAYS closely supervised by me. Cheers.

  • @mluc1102 I also have to say In most cases I would agree with you about birds and dogs not being allowed to interact.. But not with these two. They are amazing friends. Romeo was raised from a baby around Jake. Rescued out of a shelter he came and he and Jake took to each other straight away. Unlike any of my past dogs they bonded instantly. Romeo is an amazingly smart, sweet and gentle dog. Peace.

  • mluc1102- was this dog doing ANYTHING for you to belive he is aggresive, was he barking growlling or making any type of gesture leading you to believe he was going to bite?????? no not a thing. this dog seems very sweet, very gentle and I really don't think that if "greyparrot266" thought this dog had a mean bone in his body she wouldn't be letting him play with her $10,000 bird!

  • @rizzo216 Thanks Rizzo! LOVE IT!!

  • @mluc1102 I have seen cats and birds get on well for thier entire lives. It has a lot to do wtih exposure and tempermant.

  • all animals can get along fine(even snakes and mice [theres a video on here]) without too much work, its just about knowing how to safely deal with it and socialise them with each other, the dog needs to know the birds part of its pack, and the bird needs to know the dogs part of its flock. my 2 boxers get on fine with my budgie, and they were all adults when they met. Birds are also usually dominant over dog's, so there is really no problem with it

  • I think its sweet, however, you really shouldn't be letting the macaw mouth the rope. Unfortunately dog saliva is bad for birds. You could be allowing your bird to pick up a rather nasty bacterial infection. Just a heads up. I have 9 parrots, mostly macaws and 3 dogs. They all get along, but you really have to understand bacteria before letting them play together.

  • @parrotland I do understand bacteria along with STRONG healthy immune systems. Cheers.

  • love how the macaw really wants to play :)

  • @5totheash Thank you 5to. Jake the hy is usually the instigator.LOL.They are really quite the pair or friends.

  • thumbs up for rescue dog

  • @MPSecare Thank you! Romeo is a true angel of a dog!

  • that birds crushing power is twice that of a pitt bull. so is his loving heart

    youtube.com/watch?v=x-P7pd5UYHg

  • @shawnwellingdance Very true shawn. Both of these two have huge loving hearts. Animals are amazing!

  • HAHA OH MY GOD IN HEAVEN! That was too funny and cute at the same time!

  • So adoreable, both of them! And I love the background song too. They used it in one episode of Greek, which is like my fave TV show LOL!

  • i've never met a pit that wasn't as sweet as candy. I love their friendship (Jake and Romeo). Look how gently Romeo asks him to play tug!!

  • @sodacoaster Agree Soda. It's too bad so many people believe all the media hype. Alas, we are working hard to change that!

  • @sodacoaster I totally agree. Thank you for your comment. cheers!

  • awesome pittie !!!

  • that is so cool haha

  • thats a lovely bird and nice dog but id never let my birds near dogs just in case lol

  • @myparrots1 Thanks myparrots. I watch over them very carefully when they play. It's actually my pup Romeo that I must protect as Jake gets cranky/nippy at times..lol. Romeo is so very gentle with Jake always.

  • This is a wonderful vid... Just made me smile..

  • @jenn8206 Thanks Jenn!

  • I was actually worried for the pit.

    Lol!

    Birdie a bit mean.

  • @AintNobodyRight LOL AINT- You would be correct there. It' is Jake the hy who I must keep in check..lol.

  • I agree with you. Beats me how people can be so cruel with such wonderful creatures. Romeo is gorgeous, I rescue parrots an have two parrotsand they too are very undeerestimated by people as to how much time they need to be given. tc an loved the video.

  • @jackrusselsrulz Thank you Jacknrussel- I wont ever understand some "humans" either. Bless you for rescuing your parrots. There are so very many in need out there. You are so right about people not realizing how much , time, love, and social contact birds need! Thank you!

  • @jackrusselsrulz Thank you Jacck. You are so correct in everything you say here. Most people have zero idea of the care attention and love birds require. Cheers!

  • OH THIS is soooo cool!! you have such amazing animals, i love your pit mix! Those eye's are beautiful as is the coloring. Your bird is soooo smart

  • @Dimmuborgir132000 Thank you so much, Dimmuborgirl!!

  • That is a beautiful sight! There's no such thing as a vicious breed, only bad owners.

  • Thank you Dattomcat! You are so RIGHT!

  • they BOTH seem to ahve BLue eyes! most amazinig! thanks for posting this video /5/5 and a fave of mine now FT

  • @FellowTraveller Thank you very much, FellowTraveller!

  • Great to see another vid of Jake. Romeo is growing into such a handsome pitt. Thanks for posting the video.

  • good for people to see softer side pits!

  • How funny!

  • So amazingly smart! They Macaw knows what the dog likes and vise-versa. Very neat :-)

Your dogs eyes are so big! I've never seen such large eyes :-)

  • Thank you. Romeo's eyes seem to get bigger whenever he plays. Pretty funny.

  • Amazing. Thanks so much for sharing. I recently rescued a pit/dalmation mix, and she could not be a better dog!

  • Bless you for rescuing your pup. Going to go take a look : )

  • @greyparrot266 see your called greyparrot so do you have greys aswell and can they mix with you hyacinth as i have a congo but dont let him near my hyacinths but they do play with the scarlets and my hen greenwing

  • @myparrots1 I do have a grey, Angie. I do not let her and Jake the hy get too close. I can sit with them both on me on the couch but I must always, as usual, watch Jake the hy. My grey Angie is truly a little angel parrot.
