Well...you have nice intonation on the fretless, which gives the line a nice feel, but you forgot to play the chords that he plays on each line. check the tabs online

Nicely played. I think Tony Levin adds double stops a third above the higher notes you're playing on the original. Those are tricky to play in tune on a fretless though.

Thanks Kenyar! My intonation is pretty good due to playing so many damned scales on the double bass in college. I've always been used to judging shifts rather than look for frets.

That's typical double bass fingering whereby you don't use the third finger much.
