Believe me, it works. But you will still need to replicate the sag of the tracks. You can either make little holes in the hull sides and insert some perpendicular pins pressing the tracks down, or insert a sag-shaped steel wire in the inside of the tracks behind the teeth.

OK, Haruko (?), I think you will find it is easier to install vynil tracks if you first glue the front and rear wheels, then the heat-closed track rings (you will not need to make any effort, for not having anything in the middle makes the length to cover shorter), and FINALLY all the road wheels in between.

I HATE those older vinyl Tamiya tracks.

I had to use them on my old Matilda II (before the new one was released) and it was a nightmare.

I never found out how to get them to sag.

For this kit, stick with the FineMold kit: much better.

Generaly speaking I'm happy to see women doing things that are often considered as reserved for men like military modeling. Our society has too much "rules" like this and it's always a good thing to have some people who break them and do what they like even if they aren't "supposed" to...

That's very curious, a girl modeling military vehicles as tanks. I ,myself building classic cars in 1:24 knew only female modelers who build civil models as houses, figures etc. so far. But Japan has its own weird culture, I think.

can some explain why she assembled the wheels and tracks together? When you paint them you cant reach every little nook and crannie of the tank.

It´s "just their thing" (they only paint what can be seen at a glance), they will probably dust the model up with pastels afterwards placing the model in a diorama-setting and you won´t be able to see all the bare spots anyway! -It´s Not my preferred either, i must admit!

The first tank model I bought was a Japanese type 97. I feel let down though the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor instead of South Russia like they promised they would. If they did there would be no communism and the axis would have won the war.

Its a bit expensive but has superb detail, full 128mm gun, the upper turret roof could be taken out to reveal interior fighting compartment

you can get one from trumpeter, i forgot the name but its a paper panzer (late ww2 german prototype vehicals that never saw service), has full gun detail (can be taken outside of the chassis) and engine and suspension. Costs 60 pounds in the UK though LOL
