My wife always, always preferred Arthur to Lancelot. 31 years later, I'm still working on self-improvement to be a kind, compassionate and gentle man...like King Arthur. I hope live long enough to make it. Richard Harris was the greatest Arthur ever.
This is the movie of all movies, this is the best movie ever, Richard Harris is the best actor ever, I hav e seen this movie over 50 times and cant get over how good it is.
Prince charles will never be a King like Richard Harris, what a great man
The best movie I have even seen, I can watch this movie a 1,000 times and still watch it more. The best actors ever. The best music. I love Richard Harris in this film he is truly a King (the greatest actor ever)
One of the only things I really dislike about this musical is that this is the last we see of Guinevere. They could have made her last appearance a bit nicer- even if they only did a flashback of happier times, like the wedding.
@onawinganaprayer COMMENT: Have you ever actually FELT a heartbreak or did you just read about it? Watch Mask and see the redhead ATTEMPT to teach the blind about color. It's nice to watch, but cotton DOESN'T hurt the fingers. He didn't use barbed wire to try to teach her about the color RED, that's for $ure!!!
No, no, NO!! IF ONLY Gennie could have stayed with Arthur. HOW on EARTH could anyone leave him, as portrayed here?? I never truly realised before just how powerful and heartbreaking this story is. The characters make you love them so much and wish that things could have turned out well. And unlike in most films, it looks like real crying. Brilliant.
I just watched this movie and it's so long I haven't finished. We're doing our Arthurian Legend unit in English, and I would like to use this clip for my video presentation on Guinevere. Where did you get it?

So heartbreaking. Julie Andrews could never have pulled off that scene.

Vanessa Redgrave is extraordinary in this badly filmed version of the Broadway musical.

Great job, Richard Harris. Arthur's hiding his heartbreak behind a wall of dignity is very poigniant.

CRAZY Gennie - who could possibly CHUMP King Arthur???? (un this movie, anyhoo) ??? Silly, stupid woman.......

Totally. Arthur may come across as a country bumpkin at times in this movie, but he was ten times the man Lancelot will ever be.

This clip comes from the movie version of Camelot. You should be able to find it in most video stores. I would suggest Barnes and Nobles or Borders.
