  • bravo sesame street bravo

  • Read a book, any book, about Jim Henson's life & work. The Muppets, Sesame Street & the Creature Shop are doing nothing materially different from the work they always have done. But every step of the way there's been nit-picking, carping bystanders. Did infants rush to watch the Universal horror films that inform Count von Count? Did they get the pun of Placido Flamingo? Did they want to watch the news after seeing Kermit's Newsflashes? Why is this parody any different?

  • loooool GROUCH B O

  • Bill: I whip my hair back and forth!

  • Lame

  • @jordanthewizard

    yes, you are

  • Wow, I have never seen trueblood. But this seemed pretty CLEAN to me. Geez. If you are that worried about kids watching that shit, don't let them watch it in the first place. Besides most kids couldn't give a fuck about what Trueblood is, less get the reference. This is for the adults to get a kick out if it, when watching with children.

  • To everyone:

Sesame Street: Smell Like A Monster

  • i miss eric in this vid :D

  • i think they parody adult shows for the adults who have to watch children programs with their kids. this way children and the parents can enjoy the show.

  • I just wanted to say 1 more thing about the folks who view this parody negatively. It seems to me u can't separate adult viewing from children viewing. This parody does not reference any of the adult themes. the only similarity is the style of the show. Seriously how is a child going 2 know this is talking about sex and violence, unless all u who r complaining r letting ur kids watch TrueBlood. Try to watch this as a child, and see that it is just rhyming and playing in mud. Nothing more.

  • ok seriously of all the things that is out there in the media for our kids that shouldn't be, Sesame Street isn't one of them. Now why pick a parody of True Blood? What better way to get involved with the learning of your children than to give you something you can identify with. Too many parents sit their kids in front of the tv and walk away. Too many kids are being raised by stupid shows like Sponge Bob Square pants. As stated earlier this will help kids in their reading skills.

  • I grew up watching Sesame Street. And now I watch True Blood. But the two don't together, even if it's a parody. Very poor use of taxpayers money!

  • @voxgirl Sesame Street hasn't been funded by the Government for quite some time.

  • We work on the show True Blood, I just forwarded this to some of the crew... hilarious!!!

  • this is 100% lame!!!!

  • Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Hypocrisy Street?

  • This is soooo funny.

  • @simsxD Thanks lol I try ^.^

  • @meiswacthin Exactly right? I mean I really actually laughed pretty hard at what some of these people said in response to my comment...

  • That is epic! Everyone loves true blood!

  • wow, so they ccan parody a show all about sex, drugs, profanity, violence, and all. But they have to pull a Katy Perry segment because of her cleavage. Now does that really make sense?

  • lol. I like how people get so offended by one comment XD LMAO good job

  • @GreenBlondie16 i know right? it's funny when you think about it. :)

  • @GreenBlondie16 you are awesome ^^

  • Great concept but it isn't funny. Could have played it up more and still kept it kid-friendly.

  • i love True Blood but i might have to start watching Sesame Street again...love the parody :)

  • i want chapters of this! pleazzzze :)

  • Oh. My. God.

  • Lol, as a religous watcher of TrueBlood, i must say, this was pretty funny. :D

  • @iownteamedwardcullen True Blood SUCKS!

  • I like how they're encouraging children to get dirty and play in the mud, where thousands of germs/bacteria/potential diseases florish...

  • @GreenBlondie16 everything has bacteria and germs so what's the matter

  • @GreenBlondie16 germaphobe. If little children dont do that, then their bodies ARENT exposed to bacteria and germs; thus no immunity. so suck it up.

  • @GreenBlondie16 Kids play in the dirt to BUILD IMMUNITY to germs. Children kept sanitised grow up to be sickly with comprimised immune systems. Mud is just wet dirt. Dirt is soil. Adults are too busy acting 'proper' to have fun and roll around in mud, so the kids may as well enjoy it!

  • @GreenBlondie16 please for your own good stop breathing... i say this for your health, as you breathe in millions of bacteria particles every second. or you could do it for the weeding out of the human race. your choice

  • @GreenBlondie16 well, you are clearly an idiot so.... I guess people will comment! meanwhile love the clip... needs more Eric.... ;)

  • @redgrrrl27 You are right. This DEFINITELY needs more Eric! XD

  • OMFG. This is hilarious!

  • This is so awesome...only if they had Eric

  • This isn't as funny as Count Von Count's cameo on "The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XXI".

  • What kids are going to get from this: the rhyming words. The point is not True Blood or its content. For those among us who aren't anal fruitcakes, it's about an important skill for the kids who view it: rhyme (which aids in both reading and spelling.) Reading too much into this is a sad state of affairs. Sesame Street doesn't have a problem. Overly cautious helicopter parents with too much time on their hands do.

  • @41deathmachine I totally agree... you cant protect your kids forever nor can you hide them away in a closet, if you do... for 1, it's illegal, for 2, they will never learn how to separate bad from good... not that this video is any way, shape, or form a bad influence of any kind.. all the creators are doing is making it enjoyable for the adults to watch by adding in some familiar context.. bad parents let their kids watch tv alone and sesame street people know this, why not make it cool??

  • @41deathmachine Nice. Now all the kids watching this video will learn some more words. Like 'anal fruitcake'.

  • It's not the full skit, though. The best part about the full skit was the musical intro. Perfect. But this video doesn't really show it.

  • lmao right up there with snoop dog's ode to sookie. love this true blood spin off parody and love you former sheriff bud

  • I love True Blood, and the books by Charlaine Harris, but this was funny. Cracks me up.

  • lmao

  • OMG! Friggin' funny!I am a trubie and this cracks me up!!

  • I really think those puppets are more scary than some vampires. !!

  • That Bill is MUCH cuter.:)

  • Y wasn't the cow in the real show? Coz i saw the clip and it didn't have the cow

  • Comment removed

  • Okay IM a HUGE True Blood fan and this was funny as hell!

  • awesome

  • great, not there's gonna be a playing in the mud craze... but i was playing in the mud back in the 90s, before it was so cool. :P

  • Grouch B O.............brilliant!

  • Why is everyone so clueless? Sesame street has always had mature parodies coupled with learning for children because chances are the parent is watching with the child and the producers don't want the parents shooting themselves in the head (i.e. dora the explorer).

  • @gregkrazanski

yeah, they should just look up some Sesame Street parodies from the 70s and 80s. this is nothing new, and i'm glad they still do it, because some other aspects of the show have gotten pretty watered or dumbed down.

  • this is so wrong on so many levels

  • now that was cute

  • i havent watched true blood, but i am SURE this has got to be better!! XD

  • HA! what a classic! That and Grover's 'I'm on a horse! (moo) Cow!"

  • I still love seasme street after all these years

  • ahahaha is sesame street trying to appeal to adults now or something?? xD

  • Is Seasame Street trying to be adult friendly by making "mature show" parodies... I'm pretty sure 5 year old Timmy isn't going to laugh at True Blood or the Closer that is unless the parents are terrible

  • Most adults watch SS with their kids and even would admit it can get boring sometimes but with these harmless jokes thrown in for them and for the kid (since the parodies usually follows the lesson of that day) it makes it fun for the adults.

  • @Pnkiepll :-) Their goal has always been to get kid and parents to watch together. If you look at the classic episodes from the 70's til now there are running jokes, gags, and parodies that would go over the average 8yr old's head.

But they would repeat a word, a number or a concept like this one, which included words that rhymed with mud , as a learning tool for the kids.

  • Some people are blonder than I am... LMFAO wow.

Anywho, I love *True Blood*.... this makes me giggle.

  • does BO stand for Body Oder?

  • @silverlegecy There is a Cable Channel Called "HBO" They Removed the H With Footage With Oscar Opening.. Just a Parody of HBO....

  • I need to start watching sesame street

  • I love how they can parody really dark, disturbing television that kids will most likely seek out after watching the parody, but can't have Cookie Monster eat cookies.

  • ROFLOL awesome!

the "bill" puppet looks just like the guysmilie puppet -i miss him!

    so cute

  • that puppet who asks 4 true mud looks like jake gyllenhaal

  • grouch BO(HBO)

    true mud (true blood)

I don't think kids are going to get this or watch true blood

  • @MsChocodot no but i think the parents would like watching this w/ their kids more

  • OMG what happened to Sesame Street ?It`s like SNL for toddlers now

  • @dolphinzzrock Sesame street has included jokes for the parents for quite some time. My mother refers to jokes about BaBa Walters(Barbara Walters) and Letter B (Let it be) from when I was young. The pop culture references are different now, but they aren't a new addition.

  • @emmaw25 Oh really,I am starting to like Sesame Street alot better now:)

  • @dolphinzzrock random lol

  • I wanna play in true mud with you...♬

  • only downside is that NO preschool child should be familiar with "True Blood" - way too adult ... but very funny

  • This show is so dirty.

  • GREAT to hear Jerry Nelson's voice again!

  • Thats Jerry Nelson! Glad to know he still voices anything muppets even at the age of 76! hes an inspiration

  • They should not show this if they're not showing the Katy Perry scene.

  • Spoofing one of my favorite shows. I <3 you Sesame Street! lol

  • Our mudsucker sounds a lot like the King of Mississippi.

  • 40 years still amazing

  • lol

  • Wow, when did sesame street become better than half of the youtube videos. Spoofing True Blood lol

  • win.

  • 100% Better than True Blood.

  • @CourtneyGamerGirl OHH I GET IT. LOL they are trying to imitate true blood......right?

  • @CourtneyGamerGirl 100% better than SNL

  • lol

  • nice

  • Yeah, the true content of the show that they're parodying is TOTALLY more appropriate for kids than just a little bit of Katy Perry's BOOBAGE.

  • @merbearlorelei It's more of a joke for the parents. Let's say that neither one is totally appropriate for kids and leave it at that. Katy's outfit was a little naughty, not heinous, but what I had a problem with was that her sketch wasn't very educational and neither was this.

  • @wickedfeylady I beg to differ, it showed when its cold, and associated a snowy background with animals, the same when its hot. Keep in mind this show is for little kids of all ages, so in some segments it might show things certain kids of certain age might know of but then the younger ones might not. You people are becoming the a generation of whiners. I see there's a Colin Farrel clip, hes been involved in proposition with sex, sex tapes amongst other things and i dont hear any whining.

  • @merbearlorelei Yeah, but are they showing anything pornographic? No. They're talking about mud. That's acceptable. The amount of cleavage that Katy Perry showed was not.

  • @CyraUK She didn't show any cleavage...

  • @CyraUK Are you retarded?! there was no cleavage! She had skin colored tights under!! Look at it again and realize you are wrong!! Don't let your dirty mind affect what your kids watch

  • @merbearlorelei Jesus Christ!! She had on a skin colored shirt under, there was no cleavage!! She cant help if she has big boobs, you people need to get your minds out of the gutter and realize that little kids aren't probably even looking at her and are paying more attention to Elmo than anything else.

  • @merbearlorelei and where is the true content of the show they are parodying?

    oh yeah, not shown

  • VERRY KEWL!! CHHEK OUT MY FIRST VID IF U LUV SESAME STREET!! plz? :D

  • LOL omg i love it!

  • the detective guy looking for True Mud looks like Jake Gylenhaal lol

  • Boner.

  • wth. TOTALLY a boot-legged kids version of True Blood

  • I can't wait for the full version. It rare for Jerry Nelson to voice a character that's not one of his main ones nowadays.

  • i like it. its cute. but just change the title so the ranting mothers of america can just save there breath and not waste everyones time.

  • My Mom And Dad Is A Fan True Blood Maybe They Would Be Into That.

  • really true "mud"

    seriously?

    you gotta be kidding me.

  • And then you wonder why our country is in this situation... Implanting "fart joke comedy" into kid's heads since such a young age.... Thats all I'm saying!

  • why do i wach this crap :)

  • mudpires?

  • thats no mud, thats shit

  • lol

  • oh yeah sixth and seventh :)
