@iflyfish123 glad to hear that they didnt. to be completely honest i just rewatched this video and have no idea why i wouldve thought that they actually didnt keep it out of the water for long periods of time at all.
They aren't usually too picky during the brown drake hatch. We use a variety of flies. Usually a large (but skinny) parachute style fly in brown. Spinner patterns work well, too, but we just as often find they will take a large PMX. If all else fails, try a big (size 8 or 10) Parachute Adams.
