  • theeeem vacasions en cancun

  • 737-200 were so freakin loud!!

  • transformerssss!

  • On my first airline experience i saw this and instantly, I shouted "Shiiiit were gonna crash" (I thought the part of the motor fell off.) The other passengers were not very happy with me, neither were the flight attendants, nor the air Marshall :(

  • Remember wanting to get a 737, and sit in the back with the smokers to watch the reversers. I was 10 or 11...

  • @bobdowd yeah same here. i still take a window seat anywhere near hte engines. ( besides beign the cheapest seats in the house, you get to see all of this stuff )

  • Old school thrust reversers awesome : )

  • Wow, a clamshell! that IS an old 737

  • TinMouse made this for FS2004, it flew like a pig. I reworked the .cfg file--fixed the weights and balances, reduced the number of stations--and it now flies like it should: a dream. Now it's the rocket it should be. Love to fly it, even if it *is* "only a PC plane".

  • Ron Popiel got the idea for the Vegamatic from this flight..changing from slicing to dicing.

  • sweet sound

  • I love flying, but I would be scared to death of this thing, being how old it is!

  • @TarrVlogs That's what I said about your mom before we conceived you...

  • @SenorSpode I bet you stayed up all night trying to think of that one...

  • @TarrVlogs Wait, I was wrong. That was your brother; you were germinated from an avocado pit in the kitchen windowsill. That explains your subzero IQ. Have A Nice Day.

  • @SenorSpode Funny, how we are actually fighting about this...

  • What a nice landing

  • it's the Bat-Plane!

  • Oldschool :P One of the last first 737s

  • this is boeing 737-100

  • @didiogoify 737-200

  • i also have recorded video of that reverse trust title 737-300 manila to palawan trip.

  • olden days

  • 737-200! Where did you find this airplane!?? Love it!

  • No body told you turn your camera off before landing?

  • @jamesgel why should he, a camera doesn't harm any other item.

  • retro!

  • love those engines!!!!

  • Great Video!! 5 Stars!!

  • it is the companies that run the airlines that specify what engine they want when they order the plane.

  • thats a old plane for sure

  • doesnt it feel awkward when you can see thru the wing to the ground lol?

  • @sgtGrif ..as long as the pieces come back together, I guess it's alright..

  • I use to be a flight attendant on the 732. I once asked the exact same question to one of our captains, he simply replied that its impossible. Apparently the reverse levers in the cockpit cannot be pulled back until the thrust levers are at idle and the main gear have touched down. He said should it deploy because of some malfunction it would likely be only one of them and depending on the aircraft speed they might bend or brake off and it would also cause significant control problems.

  • i really dont know. i think on newer aircraft, there is a lock where u cant but it wud be kwl to see on 1

  • yeah sure, you didn't get a proper education then.

it will just slow you down. so you will lose altitude and maintain the proper airspeed or get in a stall - because you didn't. ;P

  • you land, vertically, to put it nicely

  • I've noticed a lot of thumbs-down on this phishing post, but I'll bite. You cannot engage the clamshell above the envelope speed. If you could, it would rip the clamshells from the nacelles and you'd probably lose control of the aircraft.

  • @davyace

If you're a pilot it shoul really be obvious. It's even obvious to a fifth grader. If you open up reverse thrust in flight (if you can somehow override the precautions) you're going to experience an extreme loss of lift and probably stall. A 767 crashed because of in-flight deployment.

  • @davyace i have no idea. but since you're the pilot, why don't you know the answer?

  • Pilot my foot. You don't do this in the air.

  • the airplane has a built in safety feature( atleast on the newer ones) that wont allow you to activate the thrust reverse in flight. :)

  • @davyace you are not a pilot as you would have been told in ground school what such practices would do to the plane (i.e. engaging reverse trust in mid-air). So sir, you are either fibbing and not a pilot or you are a pilot who suffers from Alzheimer.

  • well the plane will slow down and you'll probably stall out. not pretty XD

  • lol! I wouldn't try that. However, reversers are foolproof, and will only activate when the squat switch in the landing gear has activated. The only way they will activate when airborne is accidentally. This happened to an Asian 767 many years ago with catastrophic results.

  • You physically cant... The reversers are locked until the switch in the landing gear signals that the plane has touched down

  • You crash

  • yes it's a boeing 737-200

  • Like an MD11 engine.

  • This Boeing is a 737-200 series

  • this is not an effective thrust reversals cause the exhaust loses some of its energy at the end of low pressure turbine about .12 kpa so airlines stopped making this one

  • what is .12kpa

  • the thrust reverser wasn't put in originally by Boeing, was it?

  • well technically no..

Pratt and Whitney made the engine. Its connected to that.. didnt have anything to do with Boeing.

  • No it wasnt it was Pratt&Whitney who made this engine i dont know if it was the PW JT9D or JT8D im sure its the JT8D someone correct me if i am wrong

  • It is a variant of the JT8D. You are correct.

  • Which 737 is this??

  • That is Boeing 737- 200.

  • -200

  • 200

  • 737-200

  • i was like, ive seen this approach in real life before, but where??? then i look at the info and it says cancun and im like DUHHH...

  • That thrust reverser was absolutely GORGEOUS!! The most beautiful thing anyone could set their eyes on. I wish I could take one home with me and hang it on my wall.

It's just a friggin piece of metal that goes up and down, people. What the heck's so "awesome" about it?

  • A 1960's Boeing 737... AWESOME THRUST REVERSER!

  • Comment removed

  • @raykrislianggi This is a Boeing 737-200 they're not old they still use it!!

  • @TheTcomputer Actually, it is pretty old since the first flight was before 1970. Yet some airlines are indeed still using it.

  • Beautiful Thrust reverser, but hard landing......XD

  • where are u landing??

  • cancun, mexico

  • Very old plane i think that the airline it's Aviacsa

  • sorry! I´m brazilian! My english is bad!

  • what is this airplane?

  • It's a Boeing 737

    A 1960 model.......

  • この動画は、違法ですがw

    飛行機ファンにとっては、うれしい動画ですね!!!

    ありがとう!!

  • nice reverse

  • Must be a Pratt & Whitney engine.

  • How do the t/r's not rip off?

  • They would not be using anywhere near full thrust when applying thrust reveral

  • Isin't it just awsome when it throws up those spoilers and reverses thrust?? man its like so awsome!

  • brings back memories of cancun

  • Those old Pratt JT8D's were bad ass!!

  • what model plane

  • 逆噴射!「着陸の際はすべての電子機器の電源をお切り下さい。」

  • Boeing 737-100 or -200

  • I love those 737-200's. 5 stars!

  • 737-200

  • I'd feel a little nervous riding on a 737 that old

  • the power of a jetplane.. fab.. 5 star

  • wow that is one old 737

  • 737-200

  • Neat!

  • good
