Nicas, I like your way ( for lower levels) but I have a good way thats good for people who have lvl 50 runecrafting or over. In the runecrafting guild the pure ess is 1 token each, and if you have a good team (yellow is best) then u can get anywhere from 500- 1k tokens in one game! and after you get say 800 tokens maybe, buy p ess and now you will have 800 p ess in no time! keep doing this until u have ur desired amount then sell in the G.E.
