Clay work is a good spiritual metaphor; the potter has power over the clay to make it any size and shape and color for any particular use. The song 'I did it my way.' seems to suggest that we can brag on a life that is totally self-directed but this does not lead to Godly fruits only vanity.
Most of the pictures that you see are pictures of human hands. However they are all supposed to represent the work of "The Great Potter" our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
HaHa that is very true, that was His earthly job. However, seeing as how God and Jesus are one in the same, and God is the Great Potter, that makes Jesus the same.
