  • Dang I lost track on the 10nth one...

  • lol imagine pulling out to overtake 8-O

  • now, this is what we can call a long truck.

  • For those saying there are 7 trailers, there are six. The truck is a dump truck witch may be casing the confusion since the dump bed is the same as the trailers' dump beds. The third trailer from the back has a 400 hp Cummins and Allison automatic transmission driving the three axles on that trailer for a sort of push, pull assist setup. The truck has a 600 horsepower Cummins and Allison in it bringing the total hp to 1,000. I bet monitoring 2 drive-trains is hell on the operator.

  • My company just installed truckwashers at The Granites and Dead Bullock Soak to clean these. The length caused some interesting engineering problems.

  • theres 7

  • @Lycon721995 nope, the last one is part of the truck

  • The longest a road train can ever get IN SERVICE. 7 trailers at max.

  • ten to gigant

  • just another day at work. for some

  • ah how i can dream of someday driving these amazing machienes....

  • That power unit it the middle, Is that like a second engine?

  • @montyjnr10 yes, it' a 400hp cummins engine with an automatic transmission and work with the prime mover's 600hp engine, for a total of 1000hp!

  • damn. it must be realy cool shifting from 0 kph up..

  • Very long and very cool!

    fantastic Roadtrain!

  • OMG

  • i bet his transmission is real happy :)

  • thay have got a power drive pack in the center of it

so it has got 2prime driving it ??

  • Great..

    I love this road trains..

  • geez i thought driving a quad was long, but that is loooong. is that a private road or public highway??.. nice vid..

  • I think there are six of these combinations operating at the Granites gold mine on their private haul road.

The mine is approximately 550 km nth west of Alice Springs

  • is it near Isa???

  • @18WoSHaulinCrew, not unless they moved a whole mountain to another state dickhead!! please stop commenting on video's you have no idea about, or at least do some geography homework from school beforehand.

  • @ipdaily6 afaik only 4 trailers are allowed on public roads with the max length of 180 ft / 53.5 m.

  • @311jerry311 I was under the impression that the number of trailers is immaterial, its the length that's important.

I wonder if this is a public road. I find it hard to believe that a mining company would bother sealing a pirivate mine track.

  • @leapoffaith20 They did actually, as these rigs are illegal on public roads and the entire area they drive in is owned by the mine. Plus, I can imagine these trucks having a hard time on dirt with that much weight on them.
