i hate living out in the country, i like bigger cities. i lived in L.A. for about a month and i miss it every day haha. and my father lives in the boston area so i enjoy going to visit him
The warm-cold temp switch on the dash operates a cable that goes to a control valve that's on one of the heater core hoses. It's like a lawnmower throttle cable, check both ends. You might have knocked it loose when you put the carpet in. Move the temp switch back and forth while looking up under the dash on the passenger side footwell, and you'll probalby find the cable end came off of the control valve.
did you fix the heater in your truck, you should have only one thermostat.
theres something stopping water circulating its just finding it if you think its the thermostat you can take it out and run it without just to see if its that but dont leave it out it would take a long time to warm up the truck in the cold without the thermostat.
Dont feel bad man....I've been layed off from my job since last november. Finally did get a chance to make 300 bucks....did all the plumbing and stuff in my neighbors whole house....that was in august....still havent seen 1 cent of it.
Its that dark around here at 4:30 in the afternoon!! It's completly dark by quarter after 5!
I know the feeling man. You spend $25 in gas for the day, only make $70, your net profit $45 on the day, it's kinda like you really made nothing. But, something is better than nothing though, eh?
still better then the back braking sand blasting i use to do for 5 and hour... most of this day was spent hold a latter and handing stuff to the guy on the latter
Thermostat is usually where the coolant line goes into the intake manifold. google it for your make and model. It has happened to me 3 times over the years and it was the thermostat each time......then again I'm not a mechanic so I could be wrong. Nice video!
man it feels like when i was a kid working 10 hours i made maybe 20.... but making 70 seems kinda like a kick in the face... if it was like 5 days aweek i would not feel as bad..
im a licenced special ed teacher ...i taught emotionally disturbed kids in residential treatment....ive been laid off for a year...ive gone from about 150 a day to nearly nothing..i just cant figure out how im getting so FAT on my low grocery diet?
cheaper food has more fat. and your body is stressed so its storing fat.. i know this sounds lame but i would kill for a job at home depot or lowes or any hard wear store.. i tryed those places... no call back i like having a pay check once a week that i can depend on
yeah i know...ive been cutting all the processed food out of my diet...im eating less...and more raw vegies...id like to lose about 40 lbs....itd be great to be back to my collage wieght of 165......
the problem with finding a job is i cant find anything that pays what unemployment does and then like you id have to drive an hour at least...so id be losing money
it still could be the thermostat it could be stuck half open letting the motor stay cool but still warm up on the temp gauge but not let hot water inter ur heater core i had one do that warm according to the gauge but blew cold air when i changed it i got heat so hot i would have to turn it off
@DannysCam if it is just an airlock you can losen the heater hose on the outlet side and just push a screwdriver up the gap to see if the air comes out, just dont burn yourself as you have to do it warm. when the heater core is highest part of the water system thats where the air goes.
better then the body shops 5 an hour plus gas to go pick up parts...

is the thermostat the thing under the water pump or is the one for the heat another one?
DannysCam 2 years ago
it should be on top of the intake were the top rad hose hooks to take the housing off and it will be sitting in the block
oney135 2 years ago
check your thermostat. It's where the upper radiator hose goes into the engine.
tertym 2 years ago
but its not over heating im talking about the heat for inside the truck
DannysCam 2 years ago
maybe you have an airlock in the heater hose if the valve is ok.
chox2001 2 years ago
thats what i was thinking some time of switch that i can by pass with hose
