Ray Deer. May I share with you a snippet of Jake history about "The Bull"? Jake and Giggetty appeared at a concert in Wombourne in the seventies. During the interval Jake confided to me he had written the first verse of a song more or less following up the farmyard theme of the bantam cock.. The end result for me is my absolute favourite.
Ray Deer. I was in the black country band giggetty and worked with Jake during the seventies. He is the most genuine soul I've ever had the privilege to meet. A genuine, and a modest man in his own unique way. We miss him, and often wonder what else he may have written had he still been with us. I raise my glass to the greatest trubadour of unique songs about the human condition that ever was, or ever will be. His songs will echo down he generations for a very long time to come.
