The way the castle dominates the town affords wonderful views of it from everywhere! One of my favourite castles!

I am not sure about Peter's claim that it was never conquered. William I took it (although not in its current form) in 1066 after Hastings and the Roundheads took it - admittedly by a trick.

As a kid me and my perents went to England and did a tour at Dover Castle and i instantly fell in love with it!

Such an amazing place with an great history. Love it. :)

@LukeMoroney I appreciate that Dover is much smaller than many of us think but I think it is the sort of place I could live in!
