For me, I'm kinda half & half about the game. I love the nostalgia aspects that transversed from 8bit MM to 16bit MM & it's a fun game. The only reason I don't care much for MM7 is because I got MMX before MM7 & I think I got so used to a faster and more grown-up Megaman that playing 7 seemed a little lack-luster. Still a great and challenging game. Hardest Wily EVER!

Correction on the password:

Entering it normally will pretty much give you maxed out everything (except for lives), and you can kick Wily's ass right away (start at Wily Stage 4).

To get to the 2P mode, after you enter the password but before you press Start, you must hold L(1) and R(1), THEN press Start.

It's also the only password that I know of in the old MM games (including X) that let you start anywhere after Wily/Sigma Stage 1. Try it!

I liked MM 7. It was different from the 8-bit games obviously, but still a great leap from the NES to the SNES. Mega Man surprised me when he was about to kill Wily. Knowing Mega Man as the robot who believes in justice, that was definitely a dark moment for him. Awesome music, bad-ass final boss battle, epic ending. MM7 is great

The fact that Megaman LISTENS and obeys Wily's comand at the end makes him pathetic and it feels like he's wasting our time. What's the point of playing a hero who won't deal with his villain? As later games show Wily is back again causing trouble in the Classic series and his schemes spread creating the chaos of the X games. Pardon the swear, but the fucker deserved to die and its a bit annoying to know he's still alive in some form in the X universe.

I rather like the "die Wily" line. It gives Megaman more credit as a protagonist. I mean he's dealing with the bastard who has wrecked his, and everyone's, life on far too many occasions. Anyone, especially an advanced robot like him, would feel very much tempted to break the rules.

When I beat mm6 i was freaked out about how he want to kill Wily. Which could be why MegaMan X was worried about becoming a maverick in x4. But I hated how mm8 acted like the whole ending in mm7 never happened...

I rented MM7 many years back when I was young and unreceptive to change and didn't care for it too much. It felt kind of goofy and stuck between the 8 bit games and the Mega Man X ones. And having 4 robot masters at a time really peeved me for some reason.

But recently I decided to drop my biases and give it another try, and I found it to be extremely enjoyable. IMO if the entire MM series were like this one they wouldn't be any less popular.

I know you posted this video like a year ago...but I like this game a lot...the only thing I hate is the final boss, but once you are use to him you can do somewhat good against him...I prefer to use Ice Cracker on him since it shoots in 3 directions...however that makes the fight last a bit longer since you're only taking 1 damage off him each hit...but that's me personally...

I like MM7 more than some of the other Classic titles, like MM8. But sadly the only version I actually own is the Anniversary Collection version, and Atomic Planet did a terrible job with emulating it. The gameplay is pretty unchanged, which is good, but the music isn't as good as it could be, and the credits have nothing in it other than names. It's pretty lame, but oh well. I can still play it on an emulator at least. I have fun with it.

The reason why Mega Man couldn't kill Wily was because of Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics:

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I really enjoyed MM7, but there are some things you missed out on in your play through like where to find a free escape unit and the fact that you must meet Phroto man all three times in the same sitting (using passwords dosen't remember that.) or you can't fight him. Mabye you didn't know about that and there are other little things that I will point out in my Let's Play Mega Man 7.
