The face at the beggining was DJ Tony Blackburn who introduced Top of the Pops back then. He hated Punk and always slagged it off on his radio show.

Sounds pretty good live. A lot of the early punk songs were a reaction against the over-produced bands of the mid 1970s. They must have sounded really strange at the time. ( and so were an easy tarhget for critics )

Saw the Adverts a few times, playing with the Damned, as cricforum has already said totally underated, their 1st Album 'Crossing the Red sea' is in the top 5 Punk albums. These being in my humble opinion: No 1: Damned Damned Damned No:2 Crossing the Red Sea No:3 The Clash No:4 The Scream No:5 Never Mind the Bollocks
