  • Uhhh, last time I checked only 1 in 20000 bounnced back, just saying

  • humanity is great and we will rule all reality because we have abstract thought!

  • fuck this class!

  • chemistry sucks

  • @xXmon636Xx your'e a chemistry

  • Geiger and Marsden!

  • Two of the alpha particles travel directly through the nucleus!!!!!!!!111!!!!!!!!!

  • down to the point, thank you! =)

  • ty, this saved me like 10 mins :)

  • Thanks u thank u aLOT!! just whaT i needed :)

  • Oh.... Im sorry^^ my information was that it was only rutherford... but I believe you^^ but it would be informative anyway, if they could add that small aspect!

  • Its great, only that it was Ernest Rutherford, not some scientists^^ small problem...

and in the video some particles go straight through the Nucleus^^ very good anyway

  • @LinkinFender It was Ernest Marsden, Ernest Rutherford, and Hanz Geiger actually. These three physicists all worked together to make this discovery.

  • @RoastSalmon93 rutherford directed the experiment while geiger and marsden assisted him

  • what?

  • Thnx for this video. It helped :)

  • REPRESENTING ST.PATRICKS

  • It's annoying to me that the nucleus of an atom and the nucleus of a cell are so fundamentally different, yet they've chosen to use the same word for them.

  • @monkeytwineball its annoying that you have no scrotum..............

  • Whatever...

So long as you're sucking my dick... ;)

  • Excellent video. So clear. If you have more like this, please put them up :D

  • gold is dense and stable.. high conductivity and high melting point. when proton is shot, it will heat up the plate of gold

  • Why? Electromagnetic's? Like putting a magnet in a copper tube? Or something else?

  • high heat diffusivity.

  • That just means it conducts heat quickly, I was wondering how a proton heats any of it in the first place.

  • collisions create higher vibrating particles.

  • Ah brilliant, thanks.

  • WORD TO YAH MOTHA.

  • Why use thin gold foil?

  • ahh yes, radioactiveaty 2000 of radioactivity rocks are manmade

  • omg thx so much, just what i needed for my project!

  • This is soooo cool!!!!

Rutherford did this experiment, okay, so the lights went through the gold particle like it wasnt even there, because an atom is mostly empty space. and the ones that defected back hit the nucleus.

    THANK U FOR POSTING!!

  • Amazing.
