Debt limit - a wrong-wing -'manufactured crisis'- !

"1937 mistake" of cutting spending in a slow-growth economy

... with B.S. restrictions [like Bush's Congress ignored] as he doubled the Debt ! ... Red Herrings for the tea-bagger sheeple and the 2012 election cycle !
-
“Tea Parties Are - For pre-teen Girls, fantasizing about - being grown-ups” ...
Reagan raised the limit 17 times and tripled the debt ... and started this -'pandering to the rich'- !
Why do people quote Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh,If you want to sound smart then don't quote stupid people!Just because someone says it doesn't make it true. This country always does better when we have a Democratic president. There is a small minority(Republican's)who won't stop until the game of monopoly is over. And they all think they won-SHHHH-I won't tell them it's not a game if you don't.
......he has to move a little more to the right and he won't feel so left, it just is that simple so to see a plan come forth out of the debt ceiling negotiating moving from his base which is where his sense of political security is would be a bold move and would yield the results he is looking for. Assuming the good shephard is still looking over his flock, and not being to overly concerned with the flocks of others.
"All-time Historic obstruction" of appointees and legislation - through filibuster and cloture votes - by the minority Repub. in the Senate. – 400 bills held back by cloture and filibusters, and 100 appointees – dead in the water.

Been occurring since the 2006 elections; 2007 - 2011. And you clueless and ‘deceptive liars’ blame Obama for, "the obstruction Repubs. have done" !

Obama, If you truly wanted to compromise and get this debt talk out of the way, you would not be attempting to bully congress. You don't tell congress to get to the white house by 11a.m. and expect them to do it. You should go to them. And stop trying to scare the American people. We will not default on our debt, we will default on other bureaucratic programs. This president has no idea.
@czubspenx "..so called "representatives.." - Wrong-wing and Tea bag IDIOCY ! - Obstructed logical cost saving Health Care/Insurance Company reform - Obstructed return to what worked for 50+ years with finances, regulating Banks and Wall St. - Willing to continue fucking themselves, their children and grand-children with the Repub. Debt/s – and favoring the 10% who have created the problems through ‘e-greed-gious lobbying’ and ‘exportation of the backbone’ of our economy ! All - Fear-based B.S.
Quit whining you pathetic jackass! All you want to do is take advantage of the debt crises to foster your socialist idealogy to raise taxes and grow govt to mean more govt control. This is your wet dream! By the way, this debt crises is largely your own fault. the deficit was 9 trillion between george washing and george bush. It;s now 14.5 trilling and will be over 17 trillion once Obamacare takes affect! Good grief! Resign you failed loser! The worst president in US history!!
@robertha ... "good thing im rich"... You didn't finish your sentence. You are only rich in stupidity! So, you can't argue with any of my facts. Knowing Obama is doubling our debt by himself. Something that took over 225 years to accumulate and your hero is doubling it all by himself! Does that bother you? of course not! You are an all-in left wing nutjob! As long as another left wing idiot is screwing you, then you are all good with it! LOL
@aSingleDallasGuy youre old, and stupid. you probably have not taken any math in a long time, back int he day, algebra was a college course, these days, its a middle school course, we finish calculus before we graduate highschool just because were fuckin smart. its easy to get into more debt with the help of more people paying taxes = more money to spend ... you fuckin idiot... its about ratios and %s not #s...old ass fool...to ez...ez
@robertha ... I can guarantee my education far surpasses yours my idiot friend! This debate proves it. While you defend massive govt growth taxing and spending even though Obama came into office with 9 trillion in debt we are at 14.5 trillion today and projected over 17 trillion in 2013 when Obamacare takes full affect. And to you this sounds super! You think some rich guy somewhere is going to be taxed to cover it!! LOL If you took all the rich's money today it would last 90 days. Dumbass!
@NOBS4321. Nothing to say about it 14.5 TRILLION now and projected near 18 TRILLION in 2 years when your lovely Obamacare takes full affect? LOL This is a riot! You squabble over a number while ignoring the POINT! You are the type who can't see a forest because the trees are in your way! LOL Your man-child community organizer president is about to double our national debt! Something that took well over 200 years to accumulate! Does that bother you? Of course not, you are just a useful idiot!
Another red herring to distract from the continuing problems in the Repub. Congress –‘whoring’- to their [Wealth-Fare] corporate and family elitists –‘masters’-.; same as what caused the 1st Repub. Depression; As people starve !
-
FALSELY PROJECTING IT ON TO THIS ADMIN. ! Grow-up you Boner-s !
-
aSingleDallasGuy “..took well over 200 years to accumulate!..”
-
Has been balance 4 times since WWII, three times with 91% tax on incomes over 3 M$ in the 1950’.
@hackit12. Again, you will NOT address the point that in 2 years will will be near 18 TRILLION in national debt. You rather try to divert this by arguing a few dollars to change the topic. The fact is we ALL owe this money. While your answer is to do nothing and ignore the issue, anyone with any sense knows we must fix it before it gets completely out of control. If you think more govt taxing and spending will solve this, then the last 30 years would prove you wrong! It needs to be cut and now!
Reversing the policies that worked –‘for the majority’- for 50+ years; ignoring what works in every other –‘even moderately successful’- society ..
– because the Corps. and wealthy use more of the infrastructure; yet are not paying their fair share - for their ill gotten returns, that they have acquired - through lobbying/buying Repubs. influence ...
When 70% of Americans - know it and want to increase taxes on the corporations and wealthy; and remove their loopholes and subsidies.
-
AND REDUCE THE DEBT ... which you boners want to ignore with –‘distortions of what has really occurred over the past 30 years’- !
Repubs. in the House of Rep. and filibustering/cloture votes in the Senate; have delayed appointees [100+] and killed 400+ bills ... compromised the Stimulus w/ 40 % taxes, impeded Wall St. Reform and rational Health Care.
Blackmailed the Congress last Christmas – over ending the Bush tax cuts – or cutting unemployment benefits.
70% of the public are seeing through your shit ...

@aSingleDallasGuy hah i could live 20 years without media and be fine, infact i didnt even know the fuckin economy was going to shit til last week. what recession? while im out here employing people, getting paid, paying 10+, providing food, entertainment and job security for FAMILIES while supporting the local community, youre in here crying, wondering why the fuck your life sucks, I havnt been back to the USA in awhile, to many better GDP countries to live in. you go ask usagoverment help yea?
the Repubs did this to themselves, they clearly would rather drive the country to ruin than compromise on their radical principles for the better good, Obama and the Dems did not even want to raise tax rates, they wanted to generate revenue by closing tax loopholes, but they have this fixation on tax rates, which will not make the world end if they go up a bit...even Reagan could make compromises
I think we all feel we were "left at the alter" by Obama! I just dont buy his whiny I cant get things done because of republicans. He has done nothing except continue the policies and wars and bills introduced by Bush.
@CetraTJ : WTF are you talking about... he ended DADT, there are massive troop pullouts in Afghanistan and esp. Iraq, there is not a policy of Bush he has pushed unless it was a technicality or something that Congress needed to deal with...the Republicans are clearly out to sabotage his presidency and anything he want's to get accomplished
@cdc2200 Actually those "massive pullouts" your talking about actaully havent happened to the degree you'd think and he is currently weighing the possiblity of extending the troops stay in Iraq dispite what was promised. As for policies try "the patriot act, the military commissions act, the bush tax cuts for the rich, no real change in health care, 2 wars and these massive bailouts which don't work"
@mindoermatta um, Im no republican. Its easy to see that obama has continued "the patriot act, the military commissions act, the bush tax cuts for the rich, no real change in health care, 2 wars and these massive bailouts which don't work" how is obama NOT continuing Bush's legacy???
If the GOP would do their job maybe we wouldn't be here but the unemployment will come down and the economy will fully rebound in time enough for reelection.
You think you're mad now, wait till he wins reelection... LOL
@mindoermatta LOL now that is funny. you libturds ran the ENTIRE govt for 29 months!!! And you libturds didnt do a DAMN thing. You still control the white house, and the Senate. and now you complain about things not getting done? LMFAO!!! get real you hypocrite.
@mindoermatta Woot !! so we can have another 4 years of ineffeciency and mindlessly throwing away money to the big banks like the last time. I cannot wait till they go back to passing bills they havent read and trashing the economy more than it already is!!
Good to see your old phony talking points dusted off for masses... sorry
we're not buying that crap anymore. Enough with GOP abortion bills, protection of top earners while decimating middle and low income Americans, the fight begins in Wisconsin and vengeance will be sweet.
America is ready for a comeback!
Since taking the house, the GOP cannot list one thing they've done on behalf of consumers, not one, why is that?
@mindoermatta LoL !! The Dems went along with idiot bush and his spending, Obama with his. Bout time someone said NO to these big business handout fanatics. (fannie /freddie,AiG,Goldman sach ring any bells for you?)
Who created the consumer protection agency that will protect Americans from these corporations and their greed? Who's fighting to block that agency's approval in Congress? Who's for rampant greed in the market place.
Answer those honestly and see if your argument still holds water.
@mindoermatta are you refering to the agency that was created recently or the original one that was do in the early 1900's? So now we get to spend double the money on agencys that are supposed to do the same job. Awesome!! more wasteful spending, Just when we need it the most .
Yeah that's right... the wall street barons nearly break economy not to speak of our way of life and you would have us do what... lemme guess, nothing?
The sad nature of your understanding of what endangers us and our allies is the reason why your GOP representatives seem so balls out crazy.
Not all government spending is bad, I'm sorry but it's true. And this is a big one, a big good one!
@mindoermatta LoL!! bernake, geithner the rest of the goldman sach's folks that run this country are really going out of there way to "save" us from their friends, err i mean bankers on wall street. Get a clue the "frank dodd" bill was introduced from the same 2 folks that said fannie and freddy were good, Then bailed them out when the market crashed. Now they get to monetirize our debt and the money will be useless anyways and all the corperations will just move on to the next easy cash cow.
Let's all jump off a bridge? What's the perfect answer that preserves our democracy and spurs the economy? Whining about things you can't control is easy but my easier solution to place my chips on my president, he starts off slow and unpredictably but in the end, he wins. Hence, we all win.
@mindoermatta Actually we can do something about it, Hold those responsible for this crises responsible. That means the present admin too, They all had a hand in it and are doing nothing besides spending more of our money to prop up their friends on wall street. Terms limits would be a good start and anyone who had any dealing with the patriot act or preemptive strikes on foriegn countrys charge them with treason. Easy solutions to easy problems. Quit spending money on worthless legislation.
@mindoermatta Signing bills that cut 500 billion from medicare (that no one read) or attacking libya? Monetirizing the debt through the FED so they can flood the system and make the currency worthless or assasinating american citizens? Which is necessary? They are owned by the same people they claim to hate (GE doesnt pay taxes so their CEO gets to advise the president) We are going broke with wasteful spending because they obviously dont care as long as "Campaigner and cheif" gets reelected.
@mindoermatta Cheap shot? The man hasnt did anything but campaign. If reeleected we can expect 4 more years of Bush 2.0 (with bigger deficits and less liberty) Just think giving these fools another 4 years will completly kill any chance we have of not being a third world nation. Party politics is whats killing this nation, Vote for the man and what he stands for, Not party agenda's that hold nothing for america only for their "freinds" that keep them in office.
you crow about the evils of partisans and turn around and make an absurd blanket statement about Obama's body of work. You're a partisan trying to hide in plain sight, you're fooling only yourself.
You may not like him but that's no excuse to be absurd.
@mindoermatta I personally think he is a continuation of the line of presidents that have towed the line for those they are indebted too. The washington buble has isolated these folks so they would rather send billions over seas without reguard to what is happening here at home.We have lobbyist advising the president spend our money at a faster pace than every before, Breaking down our libertys to where anyone can be a terrorist except those over seas that actually hate us. We can do better.
@mindoermatta LoL I wish. That is the problem with a two party system, We are holding ourselves to picking from one party or the other. And with both partys so polarized against one another both side, while at the same time moving in the same direction it is hard to tell the 2 apart. From what i have witnessed Ron Paul is as far away from those 2 as you can get, IF he sticks to the constitution and lets the states figure it out with minimal federal intervention.
@TheStrazy cont. The term "lateral violence" perfectly explains our situation. But thats the good thing about our country we still can vote apon our leaders, The down side is most americans are not educated on the issuses and the voting records of those they vote for. Hopefully people will take more of a intrest in their own governance.
Ron will never win the nomination and some square who'll probably be the antithesis of what you everything you believe in will pander enough to get in.
I know where this potus stands and his curve balls land where I can reach. Others will end up voting for some schmuck just to be rid of him, that will not do.
@mindoermatta Voting for the lesser of 2 evils has never worked because by inches it corrupts the system further. Fighting a impossible fight for the right reasons is a worthy fight non the less. To keep educating people to look outside the system for answers and not trust the government from cradle to grave for all the answers. Education is the key, To have rational debates to solve our problems, Not party demagoges explaining it to us and polarizing us further from a viable solution.
a noble quest no doubt but get real, I would never win that battle from without so I chose to cast my lot within and fight there.
It's part of fighting the fights you can win short term to affect progress long term. This for me is the path and not some misguided notion like "starve the beast". I would not risk the future just to have my way.
@mindoermatta There is no "Starve the beast" going on. They are going to raise the limit and keep on spending when it is a fact we can meet our obligations. The federal reserve will buy more bonds and monerize our debt further till once again the normal american is left holding the tab. When they quit loaning to us then you will see the panic and it will implode. Then what? Who's fault will that be, It will be ours for letting it get that far. For trying to play the system from within its rules.
@mindoermatta LoL nothing that drastic, But having debates with folks and trying to work through our problems is the first step. Thank you for your debate i have enjoyed it. Hard to find good sound rational debate on YT, And i thank you for it!!!
@TheStrazy "...The Dems went along with idiot bush ..."
-
B.S. .... Both tax cuts, both Wars, Housing Bubble complicity [taxpayer subsidized Down-payments and closing costs - encouraging people to by houses - Bush ... "even with bad credit"]. Medicare Part D debacle, etc.
All within Bush's 1st term [w/ majority Repub. in the House and Senate] - before Obama was even in the Senate
-
You can -'attempt to re-write history'-, but it will never be true !
@ellipsis4321 Bush's 2nd term, 2006 to 2010 guess who went along with bush? couldnt be the repubs they didnt have majority. But guess who did, who bailed out wall street and spent tons of money on their friends? Come on you know we do too you can say it.
@21tikcah Yep their hands arent clean either, and now they want to spend more after the bush deal? After all of the bush is the devil talk, its ok to increase the spending? I know why the democrats didnt like bush, He didnt spend enough bailing out banks starting foriegn wars and writing in executive orders over riding congressional laws. Well now we had the dems in office in complete control (for a couple years) and were in the worse shape yet. Guess what just stop spending make it easy .
@TheStrazy "...out spending..." - WHAT ABOUT YOUR - "...The Dems went along with idiot bush ..." B.S. COWER AWAY ... shill ... you have noting but - revisionist - wrong-wing lies. - Bush's last budget netted 1.8 T$ the current Admin. 1st budget netted 1.1 T $ - Juggling the Bush expenditures of : tax cuts for the rich, Bush's two wars, Bush's complicity in the housing Bubble, Medicare Part D debacle ... etc. - You can rewrite history - but it will never be true !
@21tikcah So if he is so good why does he need to borrow more? "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure,” Seems rewriting history is a thing that the dems are good at. lol Tisk Tisk name calling really? And you wonder why no one will debate with you rationally, Your name calling only calls to attention your lack of class.
“... Homey got talking points and egregious lies -, but nothing else...”
-
TheStrazy “...need to borrow more?...” – “...is a sign of leadership failure...”
-
Inherited ¼ T$ interest per year ... been compounding in every admin, since Reagan tripled the debt in the 1980’s; Bush I – doubled it, Clinton spent less in 8 years than Bush I - in 4 years and left a huge surplus, THEN Bush II doubled it again.
Repub. red herring ... attempting to make the Admin. look bad – with their intransigent Repub. House –‘has no budget yet for 2011’- .... and the 2012 budget is due in Oct.
and you arrogant assholes –‘blame the Admin for the Repub. House’s failures’-.GROW-UP !
-
Ignoring the need to increase revenue –‘to reduce the debt’-. Obama has been calling for a tax increase since 2008, over $250 K/yr.
Was blackmailed over unemployment at Christmas, to extend the Bush tax cuts
All the Repub. proposals will only reduce the debt 1 %, if implemented -'you will still blame others for compounding the Repub. Debt'- !
And have to extend the debt limit again, and possibly drive up interest rates – by lowering the credit rating. How is –‘the Boner’- gonna spin that ???
-
You people are shallow and transparent; the public is finally seeing through your crap.
Majority [70 %] are in favor of reducing –‘Wealth-Fare’- to Corporations and increasing taxes on the elite.
TheStrazy “...is a sign of leadership failure...” - In the House .... - TheStrazy “...Seems rewriting history is a thing that the dems are good at....” - Yet you sited not one example ... phony blanket statement ... coward ! - But you continue the –‘wrong-wing revisionist lies’- : ... about “...throwing away money to the big banks ...” & “Dems went along with idiot bush” ... they refused Bush’s open ended give-away, and made them loans. ... lied about “...obama is out spending bush...” Cont
... lied about “....trashing the economy more than it already is!!...” ??? by spending 30% less than Bush’s last budget, while cleaning up his “unnecessary spending”...
Health Care reform, which will save 1-3T$ over 20 years and cover everybody - CBO!
-
TheStrazy “...And you wonder why no one will debate with you rationally...”
-
You are not capable - Drop lies and cower away ... LOL
Exhibit total lack of even the dates Bush was in office and the balance of power in the Congress ...????
TheStrazy “...folks that said fannie and freddy were good...”
-
Also not true ... they just did not want –‘Repub. SOLUTIONS’-: like fucking up Medicare Part D, taxpayer funded loans to "people with bad credit" - directly promoted by Bush in 2003, ... unfunded “ALL children left behind”, ... attempting to give the S.S. surplus to Wall St ....
TheStrazy “...Hold those responsible for this crises responsible....” - But you have no clue, who they are ... been paying compounding interest on Repub.’s CREDIT CARD since the 1980’s TheStrazy “....name calling ....” - All accurate descriptions of your lack of integrity and foolish statements – -'for pennies a post'- ! - Shill ... deceptive for reasons of personal profit ... ... Coward ... lacking courage in facing opposition Cont
Fool ... a silly person; a person who lacks judgment or sense.
-
Lack of integrity ... no adherence to moral and ethical principles; no soundness of moral character; no honesty.

If you want to be taken serious as a rational, responsible person, you'll have to start by cutting out YOUR crap: Lies, Hypocrisy, Hyperbole, Re-Writing History and Hate.
@21tikcah Blew a gasket huh? You are a sad little man and im sorry you have no idea about economics. I am truly sorry you are so indoctrinated to a political group that you seems to have lost all rational speaking skills, You wonder why no one can come to a solution please look in the mirror and then point the finger. Quit the spending would be the easy course but like OBAMA said "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure".
@TheStrazy Cont. Also "is the the idiot that leads or the fool that follows the greater fool?" Thought you voted for change, Or is the change more of the same but with more of it added to it? Your name calling amuses me. Please continue your rant, Dance for me i am cranking the handle and that is your sign to dance monkey. Please dance for me. Your points are lost in that you seem to have a typing/studdering problem, Never seen that before but it is amusing.
@TheStrazy ... - Paid disruptor seem to –‘act like you have A.D.D.’- – and can’t carry on an adult conversation - ... -- foolish/toolish insult/s- -- ignore/distort the facts- -- drop wrong-wing talking points- -- phony blanket statements- -- delusion, denial, and adolescent thinking -- and then cower away ... as if you have accomplished something ! Grow up ...
... you are paid [to drop false talking points – and COWER AWAY] and ass-ume everyone else is !! LOL – that is how the wrong-wing manipulates - subjectively !
Denial, delusion and adolescent prattling !
-
I work for ... a return to a -‘truly free’- and unencumbered society ... not ruled by a corporate oligarchy - 10% robbery barons; nor manipulated by whoring deceptive media fools, who –‘aspire to be like them’-.
A society that learns from past missteps, not ‘-proud of repeating them’-; through –‘pseudo-patriotic mantras-‘, and perversions of traditional ethical values and a distortion of statutes.
-
A society that –‘really looks out’- for the –‘future’- wellbeing of ALL ITS CITIZENS in health, housing, schools, jobs, “real civil rights and civil liberties”, etc. - even for you delusional paid whores.
@ellipsis4321 Unfortunately people are not learning from history and it is repeating itself right now. They just think because it hasn't happened in the US yet, it isn't happening now. The only difference is that it happened before in another country and they haven't learned that when history repeats itself, it's not always the same country that it happens in.
By some of the same families [Koch Bros., Steve Forbes, R. Mellon Scaife ...] and same corporations Goldman Sachs, J. P Morgan, Exxon-Mobil and Chevron [then Standard Oil]

@ellipsis4321 LOL!! This is a hobby finding people who have more than one account and get paid to scream at people about how the messiah has come to "change" everything. You amuse me though, If he is all for change, What has he changed? One goldman Sach's employee for another? Get real your a political hack that gets paid to studder along "they did it first, aint my problem" . Easy solution Quit spending, Quit borrowing,Quit threatening old people over the debt. See how easy that is.
@Trickle4321 How many accounts do you have? Gitmo,Doubled the deficit, libya, destruction of the constitution,Tax breaks (oh forgot those are still there) Filled up the government with goldman sach's people,Depreciated the dollar more add thos to the list lol!!
@Trickle4321 "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure". Here argue with him, He is our president.
@mindoermatta The GOP can list one thing Obama has done for consumers. It's called The Great Obama Depression.
Advancing the liberal agenda may be qualification enough for you to vote for President Nero again but $14 trillion debt, $4 a gallon gas, 10% unemployement, etc., etc. will keep sane people for voting for him. He's gone, bye, bye.
More nonsense from back seat drivers. Your silence was deafening in the face of GOP epic failure that got us here and now that we have a leader who's fighting both parties to make adjustments, you have the Gaul to fake outrage?!
@mindoermatta wrote "in the face of GOP epic failure that got us here...." Bush may have drove the car into a ditch but Obama poured gasoline on it and set it on fire. And now liberals see that the U.S. economy is weak and see their chance to finally ruin the country they hate so much. I believe Obama called it "fundamentally transform the country".
Nothing you wrote remotely made any sense and was even less convincing than the previous sewer waste you carelessly splattered here.
Suddenly Republicans and their leaders have a monopoly on love for America? Wake up you. This is a policy debate, not your outlet for fox news demented right wing propaganda!
@mindoermatta Why don't you tell us what exactly Obama has done to help the country? I really can't think of anything but negative things he has done.
The more interesting question for you is why you're so dead set on only seeing his negatives. Answer that one honestly to yourself then maybe we can get somewhere.
Saving GM and Chrysler was a huge move... I bet you were screaming bloody murder, what now?
How about adding 33 million more Americans to health care insurance coverage, free from preconditions denials of coverage.
How about in the height of the recession he passed a stimulus package that averted disaster...
@mindoermatta wrote "The more interesting question for you is why you're so dead set on only seeing his negatives. Answer that one honestly " why is your ilk so dead set on only seeing Bushs' negatives? Liberal race baiting has ran its course. Must be frustrating racism is the strongest defense for Obamas ineptness.
Only liberals consider government take over of private business a good thing. How many waivers have been granted for Obamacare? Including Pelosi's district? Speaks volumes.
that's odd, the only one to have mentioned. Racism here is you!
Are you feeling self conscious about something? Hmm...
What do you keep regurgitating the same tired neocon talking points for? Regulating wall street is not taking over the private sector, wake up. I know nothing of waivers and I'm eager to hear the rational for them, but you seem to have left out the car industry bailouts, why is that.
The 244 ACCOMPLISHMENTS of PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA !

And they won't anytime soon because they are a huge voting block that can vote to keep their share of the tax burdon non-existant while raising the burdon on others. I guess that seems fair to libs.
@mindoermatta Not all of us my friend, not all of us. hated Bush. the fact that 828 billion in non stimulus and now they want more????!! Whatever you are delusional while your corporate friendly loser in chief leads us even further in the abyss!!! Gaul? Nah, just common sense
Wow... you're so lost in right wing delusion it's actually scary. Where is the common sense in condoning bush's bailout and and suddenly Obama's the anti Christ.
Where were your cries for sanity when your love dragged us into wars under false pretences, hypocrites like you need to fear the day light. Where was your outrage when bush blew the budget just to cower to rich people?
@mindoermatta Once again your ignorance shines. Stimulus ..lol....tell me what it stimulated. 828 I repeat....billion. BUSH BUSH BUSH, it gets old. This guy is a schill for corporations. Please. Spare me the historic election crap. He's a fail like Bush. Later
@mindoermatta neocon? again i repeat since it falls on spinning ears, war pig. when are the troops coming home? laughable. You have no idea whom I cast a vote for. You say "we're" like you are in some kind of love cult with this fool. You must be of the Obushma clan
I know it was wishful thinking on your part when you down graded the U.S economy to a depression and you should be ashamed of yourself for that but I'm not surprised.
You neocons so hate your president that you would much rather believe this country was far worse than even bush left it than face up to reality.
Majority still ‘KNOW’ .... Bush’s unnecessary Wars, tax-break predominantly for the wealthiest, unfunded programs, subsidies to Corporatists, promotion of the Housing Bubble [taxpayer funded down-payments and closing costs – Bush -“even people with bad credit can buy houses”]

@ellipsis4321 Bush did some stupid things at least I'll admit it. You won't admit Barney Frank was head of the agency giving bad loans for houses or that Obama started a NEW, illegal war in Libya, expanded Afghanistan, extended the Bush (now Obama) tax cuts. In the distorted liberal mind these things are free as long as Obama does them. Obama didn't even start talking spending cuts until the new Republican congress made him. The liberal plan is to keep borrowing more from China. No thanks.

Assuming the good shephard is still looking over his flock, and not being to overly concerned with the flocks of others.

You don't tell congress to get to the white house by 11a.m. and expect them to do it. You should go to them. And stop trying to scare the American people. the Repubs did this to themselves, they clearly would rather drive the country to ruin than compromise on their radical principles for the better good, Obama and the Dems did not even want to raise tax rates, they wanted to generate revenue by closing tax loopholes, but they have this fixation on tax rates, which will not make the world end if they go up a bit...even Reagan could make compromises

@mindoermatta Actually we can do something about it, Hold those responsible for this crises responsible. Quit spending money on worthless legislation.
TheStrazy 7 months ago
@TheStrazy
you say worthless, I say absolutely necessary!
What is the purpose of having a government if it can't protect our money as well as soceity.
This is basic and while skepticism of government is healthy, we should not let it get in the way of the necessary.
When you say this administration should be held accountable as well, how does that jive with the timeline of the recession.
mindoermatta 7 months ago
@mindoermatta Signing bills that cut 500 billion from medicare (that no one read) or attacking libya? Monetirizing the debt through the FED so they can flood the system and make the currency worthless or assasinating american citizens? Which is necessary? They are owned by the same people they claim to hate (GE doesnt pay taxes so their CEO gets to advise the president) We are going broke with wasteful spending because they obviously dont care as long as "Campaigner and cheif" gets reelected.

And with both partys so polarized against one another both side, while at the same time moving in the same direction it is hard to tell the 2 apart. From what i have witnessed Ron Paul is as far away from those 2 as you can get, IF he sticks to the constitution and lets the states figure it out with minimal federal intervention.
TheStrazy 7 months ago

mindoermatta 7 months ago
@mindoermatta Voting for the lesser of 2 evils has never worked because by inches it corrupts the system further. Fighting a impossible fight for the right reasons is a worthy fight non the less. To keep educating people to look outside the system for answers and not trust the government from cradle to grave for all the answers. Education is the key, To have rational debates to solve our problems, Not party demagoges explaining it to us and polarizing us further from a viable solution.
TheStrazy 7 months ago
@TheStrazy
a noble quest no doubt but get real, I would never win that battle from without so I chose to cast my lot within and fight there.

mindoermatta 7 months ago
@mindoermatta There is no "Starve the beast" going on. When they quit loaning to us then you will see the panic and it will implode. Then what? Who's fault will that be, It will be ours for letting it get that far. For trying to play the system from within its rules.
