@MrSwifts31 The director - Deborah Warner - says this prologue doesn't have to do anything with the opera. Probably she just wanted to include her long time work partner Finoa Shaw's gig in this production or to imply the resemblance the fate of Echo and Dido.
I am totally in awe of the power that she has within her. Each and every word and action has such strenght behind it. What a phenomenal talent.
