  • Yeah I'm an American but I sometimes think I have an Canadian Accent I right near your providence I actually went over there it felt like I never left the US except for the loonies and the Canadian dollars I actually plan on moving up there since the US economy is crap

  • u need to relaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaax if u wanna be canadian

  • We say Aye in the black country like you would say 'what' if you didn't here what someone was saying to you.

  • you are hot , i like you !

  • the canadian accents basically sounds american but more proper, almost robotic sounding.

i'm from the south so i basically hear standard american + the southern accent. i know there are different regional canadian accents but the rest of the world is rarely exposed to it

  • when i'm not watching it, i get an accent like yours...and people around here (prairies) have trouble understanding me when i use it. i can best describe it as a soft valley girl accent (think of the movie clueless) and speaking too quickly so that several words fuse together to make one word (and that's what people have trouble understanding!)

also the overuse of "like," and "um"

also, not a whole lot of enunciation.

but when i try to enunciate more, i feel i sound british lol

  • Canadians are mostly using LA Accent s we watch tv to much

  • u kinda look like Fiona from Degrassi <3

  • Angliche,

Je propose et pose ma prose, mais je m'oppose à ta chose morose, pas rose.

  • i think i speak like russel peters actually lmaaao :D

  • You look Ethiopian and sound American - btw. you're very pretty!

  • I'm fron Connecticut USA and you talk just like me. you don't even really say about funny. Maybe just a tiny bit differently, but not enough to notice without consciously looking for a difference.

  • say about then i ca tell ur canadian

  • Say "Sorry"

  • I wouldn't say you have an accent, you just speak very fluently. I wouldn't be able to tell that you were Canadian xD!

  • Why do u care so much about your accent? I am Brazilian and since english is not my first language, I cannot see much difference between you guys and Americans. If someday you decide to visit Rio de Janeiro, send me a message. You would enjoy it a lot here and nobody will notice where your english come from... Unless you do like most Canadian, and place a flag on your backpack ...

  • @ElPanchoRojo I guess we dont want people to think we're americans lool and sometime its also safer for our lifes :P

  • I personally think you made this video because you wanted to read more comments of people saying you are hot. Don't get me wrong you are hot just sayin...

  • @GrapeSwish87 hahaha exacccctly the same as I was thinking.....her, JulieSuperstar and 90% of the beautiful girls here just want to receive comments to know how hot they are lol :P

  • Sounds like someone from the Caribbean with a "posh" accent.

  • @yuri60014 Hah! If all else fails, use the fancier version of "black". Still failed.

  • Where's your toque eh!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think you meant emulate a journalist's accent - and yes you have an accent - we all do :D

most english speaking west indians say Eh - it's not a 'Canadian' thing

although - in the caribbean - eh is used more constructively :D

  • @CodeMonkeyWithACanon Quite true. I am West Indian and I say "eh" a lot.

  • You say "try do" instead of "try to" lol

  • wow who dose this!!!

  • you have what i would call a "cute" accent

  • Yo peep the channel and see what u think of the music

  • You said clerify instead of clarify. Very Canadian, rather than "American" as you say rather than "Amarican" as Americans say.

  • another Canadian thing you say that jumps out to an American is you say "Kin-adian". Americans usually enunciate it as "Kun-adian" or "Kan-adian" if you go further south.

And you say accent as "ak-sint", and we say it "ak-sent" with an extra long emphasis on the "sent".

If you say those type of words enough in a conversion I would get suspicion. I would be just waiting for you to drop an "aboot" and AHA...you give yourself away.

    :)

  • you said about and out in a canadian accent, you are fine. you have a canadian accent. i wish i had an accent i think i just float through and its really un even and weird and news reporter-y.

  • I do not hear an Ontario accent... like, for example, Nerene Virgin for instance.

You do have a neutral accent.

  • i srsly cant tell the different from canadian to american accent e.e

im not sure what my american slang has become of O_O

  • Im english and yes you sound typically canadian but I think it sounds great on a woman so don't worry aboot it

  • are you from ontario?

  • The question is.., do you want to have a canadian accent?.., really no offence but you have the indian refined into north american accent and look. in other words you sound like from India to me, trying to sound CANADIEN ! fun have !

  • WTF man u dont have an accent

WELL im Canadian 2 SOO that mite be part ov itt lol (wat part ov Canada r u from?..)

BUT shyt i get so annoyed when ever i say eh or anything like that n americans will just crack up like it iznt that funny....GET OVER IT

  • From what I've seen about it, the only technically neutral north american accent is people from Indiana and Ohio. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, unless you're trying to neutralize your accent for a career in journalism.

  • Uh, yes. From an American in the southern states, yes, you do have a Canadian accent. Your intonation and how you "roll" your syllables is similar to Alanis Morrisette, Natalie Merchant, and my ol' girl from Toronto. Yes, you do prounouce "a-bowt" as "a-boot!" Yeah, I would know you were Canadian (from a fellow Poly Sci major). ;-)

  • would you reply if i make a vid lol, by the way im from england, maybe everyone can analyze me lol

  • I would watch and reply!

  • @candygurl303 you get "Ey" from the scottish.

  • @candygurl303 im canadian but i think i have an american accent :D:D

  • To get to the point, People won't tell you have a Canadian accent. I just have a rare gift.

I see your interest is in politics, your "accent' will not hinder you in either politics or broadcasting. It may even help because it sounds unique.

    Take Care

  • It's pretty cool that you notice these things! I would never be able to analyze my accent in such a way, so I enjoyed reading your comment.

  • Yes, you do have an accent, but probably less than 1% of the world can tell. You can almost always Tell who is Canadian by the way they pronounce "Canada" which sounds like "Canida" with a distinct inflection and speed. Also you enunciate your vowels on certain words differently. You also have a distinct inflection on some words that have a "t" and "d" in it.

  • Interesting that you should bring up regional accents, since it's the most effective method an alien invasion force would have to infiltrate the planet and compromise our species. I'll see your "Eh," and raise you a "Yo."

  • The funny thing is that you are like "I don't say oot and aboot, I say oot and aboot." Not as pronounced as some, I guess.

I believe the neutral broadcasting accent youa referring to is known as North American Standard. In the U.S. we usually called it a midwestern accent.

  • btw i just wanted to say u have very beautiul eyes :)

  • haha i just commented on the first vid then im like hmm i think ill click on the channel and i found this!!! hahah since u wont read it ill coment on this one :D. im from michigan and i know exactly wat ur talkin about with the nutral accent thing. but u sound exactly like michiganders!! which was y i was kinda disssapointed when i went to torronto. and i prob didnt spell right :(. lol well anyways im going to use all of these charcters!!! haha pointless rambling!! fun!!! i now have o more left

  • lol i couldnt fit the period :(

  • your pretty

  • I'm from Spain and you sound American to me... so despite the fact that everybody "has" an accent... you sound like you "don't have" one to me :)
