  • Fastest 1/4mi in '69! Available options for the AMX in 1969 included 390cid stroker AMC (with 390 forged crank was standard, on 343 optional), Doug Thorley Headers, Edelbrock 2x4bbl cross ram lowrise intake, 4speed trans, (727auto came standard), 5.11 posi (AMC20 bulletproof rearend), Go Pac (first {optional} traction control system, positions axle with rudimentory 4 link).

My 69AMX 390auto awaits restoration, also am seeking 390block.

AMC's. Really cool! Also own 2 Eagles with 4wd!

  • OH! the "oh shit!" grab handle on the dash brings back memories!. Your staff does such an INCREDIBLE job of making and presenting these classics in such pure form.

  • obama makes a hell of a lot better car show announcer does he not?

Hey obama...at least you know what you will be doing in 2012

  • SWEET CAR!

  • Damn, this is Obama selling cars!

  • Yes, but this was before I was elected!

  • How much did this car go for?

  • Who in the hell puts automatic into a car like that?

  • The Automatic was actually quicker than the 4 speed was. The 69 Amx had a Ford C-6 tranny and there was no delay in the shifts.

  • SOLD!!

  • Very beautiful car!

  • Thanks! The new owner loves it...

  • Craig Breedlove and his team of drivers set an endurance record in a stock 68 amx. Drove 24hrs full bore at 150mph even when the head lights went out. Drove in the dark with carsshining their lights on the track. I am convinced that AMX was a supercar.

  • Wow! Cool story...
