TIp: if you are dying your roots, you need to start from the back of your head
(neckline) and work your way up to the top of yourhead, because the top of your head is the hottest spot & the dye reacts faster there. that way your roots will be the same color not lighter on the top where it's most visible. :)
Hey! Im having trouble dying my roots! I was about to use a highlighting cap with highlighting(lightblonde) colour.. by the looks of it you have the same colour roots as me! What was the stuff being used on your roots there? Ive got the highlighting kit by garnier nutrisse.. help!?!?Plus.. I have been tempted by the eyeliner fail lol.. but i threw it in the bin super quick so i wasnt tempted!!! it was still in the packaging mind! :)
@bevviebuns i was using Feria by l'oreal in the lightest shade they sold. Idk the exact shade. It wasn't a highlighting kit though, it's just an all-over color that I was using to touch up my roots! I have used the highlighting kit from Garnier though, but I had someone help me do it, I suggest getting someone to help you if it's your first time! Good Luck!
@TiDBRE3 It's the lightest shade from Feria by L'Oreal. I don't know the exact shade however. I didn't do it myself, my friend Janee did that one for me.
You should: section the hair in 4 sections. Neat sections = easy work. Why didn't you just use a bottle? You waste color and time using a brush. What I mean is part the hair from the middle of the front of your forehead to the nape. Then from the top of the head, take it down to each ear. That is your 4 sections, apply color using horizontal sections that are 1/2" up the head.
thank you for your tips, but I'm not going to try to do it by myself for a long time. I just have other people help me now. You know how some people are hand-eye coordinated and some aren't? I'm just one of those people who isn't very talented in that sector! lol. I know with practice I could get better, so maybe some day.
Well ya, the final results look great!! Good Job Janee. You guys look like you are having so much fun!! keep it up girls! I am a dedicated follower of your "fails" from now on.
The girl that is coloring you r hair needs to go to school. I really think that if anything failed it is because of the way the color was applied. SMH!! The way she was ripping your hair apart smh. PLUS! where is the final result??? SMH!!
The girl who was coloring my hair isn't a hairdresser or anything, she is just my friend who was trying to help me out!! She isn't a professional or anything. My hair turned out really nice and all thanks to her!! If you wanna see the end result you can watch some of my other videos that came after this one. Thx!!
LOL that is too funny. beat by a 13 year old. just jokes. how did you get your roots to go so light? maybe i should leave mine on for too long too? or is your hair just naturally fairly light already?
lol. I think it was a combination of leaving it on a little too long and my hair being naturally dark blond/light brown. Even when I leave it on for the right amount of time it gets pretty light though. I use L'Oreal Preference.
during the whole video i was like.. what the fuck is up with my hand?! and then i realized oh wait, i was trying to to get dye-fingers on everything lol
