  • Love getting high to this ad.

  • One moe thing....I remember when "I like to teach the world to sing" was "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" many people were hooked on that song and, so was I. Great Advertising.

  • Being an old Coke salesman brings back memorys of delivering to carryouts and grocery stores with a two wheel hand truck and...the owners that didn't shovel their walks when it snowed. Tab cola came to the market place back then...sorry it needed work. Now Diet Coke is great I could have sold the hell out of it back then.

  • Love to all.

  • my dad was too shy

  • @IntolerantAtheist1

This commercial is nothing more than pandering to a specific market segment. It should insult you.

  • KOOM BYE YEAH

  • There are so many versions of this beautiful song. I'm not sure if this is the one I constantly heard on radio as a kid in the 70's. The other one in the 80's was beautiful too.

  • 0:23 Young M.J :O

  • god dammit, why ISN'T THIS IN 1080p!

  • anyone know where i can find the original song please?

  • why is this still on tv? :s

  • a bunch of hippies..

  • @UnceBobTouchedMe A bunch of Funny hippies... basterd.

  • ahh the beauty of harmonious rounds of music

  • ill like to buy the world a coke. great song.

  • What a awesome time - when people wore funny curtains and commercials were about 1minute long

  • Musica antiga --'

  • good qualityyyy yeshhh..

  • cool song =D

  • glad they're showing this on the tv again now :)

  • I wish I was young in the late 60's and 70's :(

Sincerly, a 15 year old girl.

  • coca cola best commercials in the world!!!!

  • I think I just saw Michael Jackson

  • i don't want to buy the world a coke, but the world needs to buy a coke for me ;)

  • shame about the ginger bitch at 43

  • @GraveD1gger its more like shame on you because you're racist

  • @goldeneye0010 How is ginger a race?! HAHAHA you fucking tool.

  • @GraveD1gger nah, your just a fucking retarded dumbshit. Probably..

  • i love coca cola

  • i saw this to day?

  • @shaunmon their showing it again

  • Cokeaine Cola!

  • I'd like to teach you to SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • This is a commercial, this is what a commercial should be

  • This is the famous "Coca Cola"

  • menudas pintas... bueno... los 70 es lo que tienen

  • get to work if thats how you think

  • oasis did better ...hahah jk

  • hadolf would be proud of that.

  • I'd like to do a line of coke...

  • if coke ever does a throwback with the original recipe, r they going to put cocaine in it? if so count me in for a case

  • @upthebutt2 just think of all the SUGAR their is in a bottle of coke..........depending on what ounce you buy, ALOT my friend

  • @pkappel006 if you take it in proportion it wouldnt be bad

  • Uh. It's an ad. I can't believe you guys are coming over an ad.

  • @LovetteCher Finally some sanity. It a great ad but in the end, its just that, an ad.

  • great ad shame ads r shit now

  • Wow! that takes me back. I wonder how much money dentists make courtesy of coca cola?

  • Greatest ad of all time. The late 60's and 70's in America made some of the most beautiful and innovative music and television and movies in the history of the world, in my opinion. It's a real shame that I'm 13 and missed growing up in those times.

  • @Childist2 you must have never read a history book or...anything. the 60s/70s are a direct reflection of the same shitty society we have now. a shitty war no one wants any part in, shitty pop music with the occcasional good artist, and another generation of narcissistic teens with a bad case of USI (via facebook, myspace, twitter ect.)

kid, you didnt miss out on anything. btw the people who did grow up during that time are the douches that are ruling the world today. think about that...

  • @Childist2 Iawtc...:)

  • @Childist2 Ignorance is a bliss. And so is nostalgia. It was generally a lot worse back then.

  • @Childist2 Not just america -_-

  • @Childist2 HA! Thos hippie times? what music was so great then? you dont know a thing....

  • @Childist2 the world can be like the 60's and 70's. it's just people keep that thought of what was, and not what can be.

  • @Childist2 you forgot the best part about the 70's and 60's. No Justin Bieber.

  • Well, in most places in the world, you are more safe in drinking a Coke, or any bottled beverage, than the local water. When I traveled to Pakistan or Brazil, I would always order a Coke or Pepsi if bottled water was not available.

  • I loved it at the time and still love it now....remember Julie...?

  • its ironic because coke is notorious known for exploiting cheap fresh water supplies in the middle east, leaving millions of people dying from water dehydration

  • @ndrwplussine You'er oviously one of the dislikes.

  • This is total brainwashing haha! Don't get me wrong, I am as bad as the next person with buying coke and totally loving the message this advert has of love and peace, but there is some serious marketing message going on here,

'make love spread all over the world, do this by buying a coke for your brother!' AMAZING!

  • They don't make commercials like this anymore, wish they did.

  • Coooor 70s birds x

  • Makes me want to buy a coke

  • I like the words, "Its the real thing" They may as well put the real thing in it for all the damage it does you.

  • Dear HouseSell,

I agree with you 100%! Why can't we just get along..drink some Coca Cola Sodas and sing ontop of the mountains as friends?

  • i love this commercial IT ROCKS

  • HIPPIES! arrgh. LOL

  • queers?

  • world worth shit

  • 28 people like Pepsi better, like me.

  • Buy someone ELSE a coke? Isn't the policy in today's world to take someone's coke and run?

  • evil empire since 1886 :3 yoo made santa turn red you bastards! we all know the Scandinavians said he was GREEN! xD

  • I have cravings!

  • Great video!! Great sentiments. Not mean spirited like the pepsi commercials of last 35 years. This commercial and the Mean Joe Greene one are the best. I don't care what they say about Bud , Bud Light commercials (and I work for a Bud dist), being the best ever, Coke has always stuck to good natured feelings of joy.

  • this would be a great olyimpics commercial if they remade this

  • This is one of my favorite back in the day commercial

  • It's hard to believe that we chidren of the '60's were ever this naive, but we were...

  • @VictoriaRu29 don't give up hope spirit of the 60's will always live on

    peace and love

  • The yneed to bring this ad campaign back!

  • I'd like to buy you all a coke.

  • @bryanpb983 deal... send one my way friend! I'll pass the favor on!

  • Coca cola saves the world once more.

  • Love this!

  • I liked buying coca-cola as a teenager in the '80s with my best friend in the summer time

  • MOST FAVORITE COKE COMMERCIAL OF ALL TIME!!

  • All the world, hypnotized, doused into submission, into homogenity.

  • ok i know it was done in 71 the year i was born and theres alot of people in the world but "I STILL HAVEN'T GOT MY COKE YET"! :D

  • man, i was born too late. :(

  • @hoochis tell me about it... :(

  • @hoochis lol

  • ah,back in the day, when coke contained cocaine.

  • I always loved this commercial! I was in kindergarten when it aired and I used to walk around singing this all the time and driving my parents crazy!

  • Those soo true....brings back memories...

  • Jeez... I feel rather dated about now. I remember when that aired. I was really little, but this is the only one of two commercials that my family ever stayed in the room to watch. The Christmas version was the other.

  • Linda Neary, is the blond girl on the opening shot. From Cheshire she was working as a nanny in Rome and spotted walking down the street pushing a baby carriage. The add was by a London add agency and filmed in Rome because it rained in Dover. It was seen all over the world for many years and one of the most successful ads of all time.

  • This pwns pepsi by a longshot!

  • This pwns pepsi by a longshot!

  • catchy song

  • Coke dd this in 1971.. then again in 1991 for 20 years after. I wonder if they will do one for 2011 for 40 years after? I mean it would be great in my opinion and I think Coke would be smart to do it. Because lots of people love the song I was born in the 80's and I listen to this every other day. just for the song it self.

  • @CRPAdminRen they remade it already in 2006 (nice remake btw) BUT THEY SHOULD REMAKE IT!!

  • @battou66488 Really? I have yet to see it. can you link it for me?

  • @CRPAdminRen i'll try looking for it again, i was searching for it the other day, can't seem to find it, the ad was done on a ROOFTOP of a building, and it's for coke zero

  • CHECK OUT killercoke(dot)org and see about the deat squads Coke sponsors and all the people they poisoned in latin america

    killercoke(dot)org

  • If you ever get to a Coke museum, try the samples from around the world. They are not the same.

  • I will have as many samples as possible if I go to the World of Coca-Cola.

  • @VaderNES I always pay that extra price to get the mexican ones made with sugar instead of HFCS. Darn, if it wasn't for those stupid corn farmers trying to make a buck off of us, we'd have switched to sugar, since it's cheaper than corn now.

  • Try Coke from either the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania or Cleveland, Ohio. Those bottlers use sucrose still. In fact, Lehigh Valley Coca-Cola Bottling advertises this point on their website.

Plus, those bottlers are in the United States, and their price is the same as HFCS Coke, as opposed to Mexican Coke, which costs more and might have HFCS instead. Lehigh Valley and Cleveland Coke, though, are sure bets, as they do not use HFCS at all.

  • @VaderNES actually, at a dollar store I bought a mexican coke for only $1.25 US, which is the standard price for the HFCS one, and it was the same size, only in a glass bottle.

  • But it still might have HFCS, though. Mexican Coke is not a sure bet.

  • By the Coca Cola company, the best coca cola is drank in Macedonia!

  • Most of them taste great but others.....

    well, try them all.

  • This brings back memories. I remember hearing this as a small child and loving it. Oh, for those simple , uncomplicated days again!

  • Only they weren't as simple and uncomplicated as we might remember :-) Still, we were the first generation to be raised by the television set, and certain commercials and shows still strike a cord for many of us. Remember ABC afterschool specials?

  • @rwhi11

I meant that my life as a small child was simple and uncomplicated - not that the world was like that. Unfortunately, I don't remember the ABC afterschool specials as I grew up in England so I got to see the BBC afterschool specials instead!

  • This may have persuaded people to buy it then but it would not persuade me- not that I need any persuading to buy coke.

  • i agree with YouDoobed..it's just that , coca cola know how to make good commercial to sell bad stuff. u know it. we know it. they know how to pinch poeple hearts through showing unity..which we really need but not with just coke commercial make it for real...

  • These people are now in their 60's and now in the power positions of society (age wise). I ask them to question themselves and respond: "Did we as a society then"teach the world to sing"?! (metaohorically speaking). Helping Haiti would be an opportunity to do this. EVERYONE PLEASE HELP HAITI/THE CHILDREN OF HAITI: either give $ or volunteer over there, help get the water/food /shelter over themer. get the children out: adopt or offer to temporarily do foster care! THANK YOU WORLD!

  • Jackie Lee sang in this video!

  • This song brought the group international acclaim and made a lot of people happy. Not long now..eh Nic...until we can hopefully relive them.

  • The only bad ingredient is High Fructose Corn Syrup, which isn't even in Coke in most areas (outside of the United States at least, and even the US has the Allentown, PA and Cleveland, OH bottlers, which use sucrose).

  • Fucketh thee. Have a Coke and a Smile, and stfu.

  • i can sing this song with the commercial lol

  • Let's all be friends, and hope for a better future, yes?

  • I concur!

  • @sinsoo

Buy me a Coke, and we'll discuss it. :)

  • Beautiful tune.

    Beautiful commercial.

The World needs way more of this and a lot less bloodshed.

    Enough said.'

  • @housesell

Coke spends BILLIONS on advertising to BRAINWASH you into believing they are about "love," when they are really about PROFIT, and they won't even spend a few extra cents to switch from diabetes causing HFCS to regular sugar while they are terrorizing anyone organizing unions in their bottling plants overseas. FACTS. Read the new book "The Coke Machine."

  • @iamafreeman666 u serious? too much crappy info. we're just enjoying the ad. thats all. get a life, enjoy it and die smiling.

  • @umayoskapasig Great plan. By the way, who is "we?" Oh, that's right. Victims of mass advertising.

  • @housesell

    true

  • If there is a Cola kult I'd join them in a multiple heartbeat !!!

  • I don't think all atheists are evil. Im 13 and i don;t believe in God I defiantly don't feel like killing Christians, or Jewish, or Islamic. I don't agree with what their saying. I still read the bible because its an interesting book. Some girl today was talking about how Baptism isnt Christian because they don't believe in talking in tongues. Thats what I hate.

  • BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY

  • okay,.this freaks me out.

  • screw all you liberal hippie bastards.

  • lol, i kno its the 70's, but im horrified by this commercial :P hehe

  • This commercial reminds me so much of being a kid.

  • I fucking love this commercial it is one of the first commercials that I remember seeing on TV. I still love to hear this song, and watch all the races of the world united in peace and harmony.

  • guys

    chill out

    drink a coke

  • That, or get urselves laid homiez.

  • so the woyld became one coz of coke

  • As a kid at the time I thought the world would someday be like this,,actually the opposite happed, we are more divided than ever. .....thanks religion! lol

  • stfu man let folks believe wateva they want

  • DEM ,I understand what your saying,,but I like honesty,if I cant be honest then there is not point,,I still love this commercial and song

  • well some people here (including me) got strong religious beliefs and feel insulted when u just say something outta the blue like that. smarten up

  • DEM,,bring up what? How are you possibly offended about what I said,,and how do you know what religious beliefs people have in here?

  • ok u kno wat just fuckin end it! dont say stuff like wat u said without expecting people 2 get pissed

  • DEMI said NOTHING to piss any one off and you know it.

  • Or maybe people like you help divide it! Thanks for the hatred and bigotry, lol!

  • lind exactly how is my comment bigoted? As a gay man and an atheist,,I was hoping for a world of peace and understanding ,,we are actually more divied than ever,,and I know most believe I am correct on this topic.

  • Comment removed

  • Jarkoer, actually religion has killed more peoople than any other thing ,,Christianty is only second in killing to islam, it takes away rights creates war, and makes people feel unworthy. Its truly sad. Yes it does begin with me,,served in the AF, Served in the Peace Corp,,am a firefighter and adopted two children one fully blind,,yes it truly does begin with me.

  • 8,000,000 Christians killed by the Soviet Union.

6,000,000 Jews killed by neo-pagan Nazis.

217 years ago the French Enlightenment killed thousands of priests and nuns.

10 years ago an atheist walked into a church and slaughtered 20 Christians.

We can play this game all night.

I challenge you to put down your finger of accusation and I will put down my finger of accusation, and lets give peace a chance by forgiving one another right now.

    Are you up to that?

  • Jarker,,those 8,ooo,ooo, were all christians,,that were killed ,,I call bullshit. and the 6000,ooo jews and Gays and Gypseys were killed by Catholics,,,whaich were Christian,,,,hmmmmmm full circle?

  • Clem, you didn't answer my question. You're still seeing this as "you" against "me", and you're wanting to fight.

I tell you right now many unfortunate things happened in the past, and I'm sorry that people on both sides did bad things.

Show me how peaceful you can be. You're so much better than me, I challenge you to forgive me as I forgive you of what atheists have done against the Church. Show me you're capable of peace.

  • Hey, I'm sticking my hand out in friendship.

    Peace starts with you, man.

  • Did you check out your comment section? the vid is spammed out ..There is nothing to forgive,,you didnt do any thing to me personally

  • But do you still hate a group of people like Catholics? Whatever you blame the Catholics for in the past, they're certainly not like that now. Or at least not as an institution. Certainly no group of people can claim that their hands are without some old blood. Can you love your fellow man just for being human? I have a hard time with that myself. I'm certainly not perfect. But every day I try to look beyond a person's actions, to love them as humans, but also to make sure they can't blow me up.

  • Clemburke1111, for your info, the Nazis killed Catholics alongside of Jews, Karol Woytyva (Pope JP2) worked in a labor camp, and the Nazis held the Pope prisoner inside the Vatican. Catholics were not responsible for the Holocaust.

I'm putting down my finger of accusation. I'm asking you to put down that finger too. You say you know about peace? Prove it. I'm sticking my hand out in friendship. Lett's forgive the past and move towards the future. Peace starts with you. What do you say?

  • jarker,,if a catholic did not go along with the reform they of course were imprisoned,,but Hitler was a devout catholic that is why Homosexuals were gased along with the jews and any one that harboured the jews of sypathized. It was all biblical

  • Jarker I need to hit the hay,,iI have two kids,,that need to have fun tomorrow,,good luck,,and leave a comment,,and w will resume tomorow.

  • its so annoying when u flick on a wee choon like this for pure nostalgia and theres always some assholes talkin total pish to ruin it, do us all a favour u 2 and fuck right off, wankers!

  • gaz, this is life, your mission is to not let life affect you the way it obviously does. Reality is every where.

  • To Clemburke1111, you blame religion for ruining the world? What about atheists and their attitude towards people of religion? Atheist regimes have killed more religious people in the past 200 years than religious have killed in the past 2000 years.

Hate ruins the world. Hate for individuals. Hate for groups. Do you know where peace starts? It starts with you. It starts with your example of tolerance towards others. Or not. It's your call. And it's the call of everybody on this planet.

  • Thats where you have reached a straw man argument,,Christians kill in the name of Christianity,,Islam the same thing ...Atheist leaders just killed because they could ,,there is no atheist dogma to kill, where the bibllical god tells us to kill and kill often and that basturd loved to kill.

  • I'd like to be somebody else and not knwo where i've been, I'd like to build myself a house out of plasticine!

Oasis-Shakermaker listen to that song an ull see why i put this here....

  • Subliminal messaging.

  • I think the world would appreciate a Mountain Dew a little better.

  • that vietnamese kid doesn't look happy? Why? it's only 1971.

  • we'd like to rid the world of terrorists, tyrants, warlords, druglords, loan sharks, corrupt officials, hunger, poverty, injustice, bigotry, racism, inequality&all kinds of bullshit
