Well in Florida, I do know you can refuse the right to have your car searched, but then they will bring a drug dog around your vehicle. If the dog alerts them then they could search the car. With only money in the car the dog shouldnt bark, but you never know.... Those dogs probably alert them no matter what.....

Catch-22. You agree, they search the car. You deny permission, and they have cause to search the car, as a reasonable person would have no reason to deny the police the right to search.
