I saw Amanda opening night and Jemma yesterday ... I think Jemma was better, both were brilliant but Jemma blew me away and even made more beautiful sounds than Lucy ... so sad Wicked will soon end :(

Get a life. These people are not "snobby" if they turn down signing a program. They perform and give their all for you but you're not happy until they're "yours" and you have their autograph.

You're all freaking mad and give musical fans a bad name.

Exactly Bella :). Why, Rebecca, would you find a video that says "Stage Door" and choose to watch it if you weren't interested? As for it giving musical theatre fans a bad name - how?! All I did was stand in a public place and video them as they talked to me and my friends. I asked each of them before filming and they were all fine with it. I don't understand your objection.

The cast is always so beautiful!!

i saw the show in early January 2010, and waited at the stage door, got there autographs and photos and they are always so kind! They would most likely do that after every show each day and yet they still are so amazing!

Jemma Rix is absolutely brilliant!!!

Lucy Durack is so beautiful and kind.

The rest of the cast is amazing and i am simply thrilled to have met them!

They were all so nice and the show was just as amazing (3rd time round).

Lucy was gorgeous as G(a)linda and was so sweet and friendly when we got to chat. This was my first time seeing Jemma as Elphaba and she was brilliant, I agree with those who say that you shouldn't be disappointed to not get Amanda (although i love her portrayal as well).

oh they didn't mind at all, they were so sweet! Penny was particularly adorable, lucy was gorgeous, jem + rob seemed to be in a slight hurry, and bert was taking his time, chatting to everyone whom he gave autographs too, despite being 11:40pm.

Really? Penny wouldn't even stop for the children that were there when I was there. She pulled a hoodie on and had dark glasses and was acting like she was being stalked by the paps or something! She seemed really snobby, but maybe she was just having a bad day...

oh wow, yea she must have been having a bad day, but i dont blame them...doing this after every show, having done over 600 shows by now. But when I was there, Penny was chatting to her cousins for a while (she introduced them to lucy too) and only after that she signed autographs and took photos which was really sweet.

I feel sorry for Jemma too. I think they should just list her as the lead Elphie, along with Amanda. She has done more performances than Amanda and that way no one would feel disappointed that they got the 'stand in'. She's brilliant in the part too!

On the Wicked website they are now listing Jemma and Pippa Grandison as the lead Elphabas (they are alternating) but because they only give out slips in the program and don't have an announcement before the show (correct me if I am wrong, that is just what I have been told.) then people who don't check the castboard or buy a program still would think they have Amanda for the show. People should definitely not be disappointed to not get Amanda though- Jemma is AMAZING!!!

I know, I saw this girl with the Amanda page open the other night before she came out and I felt like saying something. Jemma is fantastic. I love Amanda equally, but she's hurting her voice, so maybe she should just come back for a month or something and have her proper last night.
