The ad is incorrect in one major way: Nixon did not claim national security when asked about his tapes. He claimed executive privilege. That is different. It applies to scenarios where the label of national security threat wouldn't. And this point alone destroys the message of the ad. Amazing what checking the facts will do.
Obama has lawyers in court right now pushing to ensure he has the same ability to wire tap. How come we don't see a commercial requesting a sopecial prosecutor to go after him? Moveon and anyone who supports them are a bunch of loons.
We are at WAR; I have nothing to hide, but I'm willing to bet that there are thousands upon thousands of terror cells in this country. I REPEAT...WE ARE AT WAR, AND THE FUTURE OF THIS WORLD IS AT STAKE. Let's get serious.
Congress can pass laws, but the courts are there to be a check on any such laws. This constitutional check keeps things like a crazy right wing congress from passing unconstitutional laws to attemt to illegally protect a crazy right wing president who has gone too far too many times. Resignation for the sake of dignity. Without resignation we will most certainly see impeachment.
Not they didn't, fascist. Bush was breaking the law plain and simple. He didn't have the right for wiretapping the calls of US citizens without getting a warrant. Period. Bush is a fucking criminal and so are those who defend him.
Prove that those who defend the president are criminals? You gotta learn to be sober and present the facts out right otherwise your emotions will not make you a sensible slear-thinking debater.

Nixon in 08. Lets do like in Futurama and put his head in a jar and bring him back to life. He would surely get my vote.
