@BBnG2 Thanks Ron. Lifeworld has evolved over the last 21 years, parts have been added and subtracted. I continue to fiddle with it. It was originally an assignment for a Social Psychology course while I was in Graduate school at Duquesne and it included a Thelonious Monk piece and a free improv section. When I've performed it with the band it has been as a prelude to my song Carolynn. I've been planning to upload a trio version of both songs we did for BPTV that came off pretty well. Chris
...do you like Michael Nyman? and Phillip Glass?...you have some of their qualities...and in a mellow style...the space images work well...perhaps a bit of transition tweaking and frame size standardization would finish it off...very satisfying again.......jc
I love Philip Glass, I'm less familiar with Nyman. I think this is my most symphonic piece. I keep playing with it through the years playing it solo as a duo trio and quartet, adding and subtracting parts, But I'm pretty satisfied with this version. I need to learn how to make tighter transitions with images as a rule. But I think I'm getting a little better in my more recent videos. Thanks again for checking it out and your thoughtful comments. Chris
Thanks so much for the comment, the Hubble photographs are so awe inspiring, that they can't help but give a sense of perspective of ourselves in relation to our universe. I think that also why I'm obsessed so much with the ocean. thanks again for checking it out. Chris
Chris, I loved your music which suited to the nice images, it´s all very inspiring. I saw the other videoclips which are as great as this one. Congratulations, you´re very talented. Keep them coming.
Huge fan of Genesis by the way and yes I've written many emails to youtube about the freezing of videos..One of them started moving again. I guess I wont ever watch my own videos again!
Thank you, and yes early Genesis has long been an influence of mine. There is one section in particular that is an homage to "Selling England by the Pound", Very perceptive. Thanks for checking it out.
Thanks, ironically that's why I'm trying to learn guitar. Writing on a different instrument helps me avoid personal cliche's I might fall into, Thanks again for checking it out.
Really cool graphics as usual. nice composition :)
