This guy blows my freaking mind. I can't even imagine how long he practiced to be able to play the way he does, but I'm inspired. I like the way Page did the solo better. but for fuck sakes, he's doing it with one hand!!
Nicely demonstrates how well a touchstyle guitar fits into a bass, keyboard and drums setting. The two guitars part took me by surprise, but it was to be expected, lol. And the final ripping through the top most frets displayed EXTREME accuracy...that area is super hard to play in touchstyle! His improvisations weren't half bad either...loved his phrases.
BTW, can someone please tell me what stand can be used for that kind of guitar? (ZackKim style, if you will.)

He's nothing at all like Hendrix, in my opinion, not even when he's covering Hendrix. SJ's modal, hyper-chordal, and super-technical bob style is nothing at all like the bendy, sloppy (not that that's bad), chord unsophisticated (again, not that that's bad) style of Hendrix.

This guy blows my freaking mind. I can't even imagine how long he practiced to be able to play the way he does, but I'm inspired. I like the way Page did the solo better. but for fuck sakes, he's doing it with one hand!!

I love this...
Nicely demonstrates how well a touchstyle guitar fits into a bass, keyboard and drums setting. The two guitars part took me by surprise, but it was to be expected, lol. And the final ripping through the top most frets displayed EXTREME accuracy...that area is super hard to play in touchstyle! His improvisations weren't half bad either...loved his phrases.
BTW, can someone please tell me what stand can be used for that kind of guitar? (ZackKim style, if you will.)

hes good. he strums once or twice and the rest is his fingers doin all the work with hermonics. hes like hendrix, yet not that good.

He's nothing at all like Hendrix, in my opinion, not even when he's covering Hendrix. SJ's modal, hyper-chordal, and super-technical bob style is nothing at all like the bendy, sloppy (not that that's bad), chord unsophisticated (again, not that that's bad) style of Hendrix.

@richcapo Did you just say Hendrix's chords were unsophisticated? Just look at the 'Hendrix' chord in Purple Haze. Hardly unsophisticated. There's a lot more behind Hendrix's work than you would think. Stanley Jordan is excellent, but he doesn't hold a candle to Jimi.

The best thing about him is that he stands while playing that and looks COOL! Usually those tappers looks stupid and not relaxes, he's fucking relaxed and oh oh words can't describe the feeling!!
