I'm glad you liked the show as much as everyone else should! I bought the tickets to Memphis on impulse (i was already going to NYC) and I'm glad I did!
I got to see the 2 leads the day after my birthday and get their autographs/pictures after there was almost no one left at the stage door (I'm glad we waited!).
I'm glad you liked the understudies, everyone in the cast was great! :)
Glad you liked the understudies - hope you get back to see Chad and Montego though. Chad is phenominal (OK, I know him a little but he is AWESOME!).. And it's great choreography (and didn't get a Tony nom for choreography!!)
@BiteMe1132 Sweet! Its a great show, I cant understand why anyone wouldnt like it. And thats cool u get to work with Brad, I saw Hueys other understudy Bryan but I wouldnt mind seeing Brad in the role, he was great in the ensemble!
I did a research paper on the birth of rock and roll and learned that no one person started rock and roll. The term "rock and roll" is a black slang word. The genre was created from a mixture of genres, but I guess mainly R & B. Elvis was just the one to popularize it. Just a fun fact I guess :) Glad you liked the show!
@abbie8908 I know the word wasnt created as soon as Elvis started, I didnt want to get all historical about it because I just wanted to review the show with brief background info. Elvis was the first white person to sing R&B and many other whites followed, therefore he did create it he just didnt know it at the time. If Elvis was black it would have just stayed R&B and wouldnt be changed to rock n roll. And yes the show is great and everyone should see it!
