How To Throw a Knife - NO Victims!

I have a 12" saw blade and I am looking to make some throwing objects. What would you suggest for a beginner to learn to throw at the NWO?

There is a thing you need to know (or not depending on how you see things generally in life but whatever) When you throw the knive, the less side spin you get, the more force you'll get when the knife will hit the target. In your demonstration, we see you turning the knife with your wrist of about 1/4 of a turn (on the side). So well, hope it helps you, as any advice can help anyone in life. Peace.

hmm interesting.i thought you were supposed to hold it just past your ear then whip the blade.and if your arm is extended properly then it will usually hit its mark with enough force to neutralize the threat.And just curious. is your name gunny? or are you in the marines?or were in the marines?

Throw with purpose is probably the most important advice when throwing knives.

what if you throw from the tips of your index and thumb on the tip of the front of the blade with the knife back at a 45 degree angle and or 90 degree?

@APPOLLOPHOENIX i usually stick then in my comabat boots from JROTC in a sheath and it works reelly well, but usually u shuld just carry them in the small of your back.

im trying to learn how to throw, and i went to this website. it told me that at 3 meters it sould spin 1 compleat time. but when i throw it spins a lot more than that. how many times do your objects spin( light weight knives).

if your knife is spinning more times than you want, you need to grip the knife looser (tighter for more spin)

My KIds are trained to not be victims.

Period.

They and I will do whatever necessary to not be a victim.

If I have to draw my knife and throw, it would be in self defense.

So, my attacker would not be a "victim" of my retaliation, but of his own stupidity or aggression.

One important key in knife throwing, rather it is with the handle or the blade is finding the proper balance. The knives you have are properly balanced but a common pocket knife is hard to throw because all the weight is in the handle.

This is true.

That is why I suggest flipping the knife.

It allows you to feel the balance point of any knife.

As you know, I can throw just about anything.

Axes, nails, steak knives etc.

I still flip them.

You CAN do this.

And, once you master it,

(just like the bow, it takes time).

You can carry a knife or two ALL the time and never be a victim!

Try it, you will like the primal and etheric feeling.

Good question.

Yes, the blade is sharp.

By flipping the knife and getting used to flipping it.

Your hand and mind become linked and you will know exactly how to hold it correctly to throw without looking at the knife.

I have had a few cuts, but nothing major.

No Pain, No Gain ;-)

Good instructional vid , when I started throwing I had it for a while and then I lost it . You get mad as hell b/c you cant hit the target after you were doing so well . Thats when you just have to either calm down and remember the basics or just try again another day.

yup, I know the feeling. I just now "Got it back". You can't get mad and pissy because you can't do it anymore, you just have to calm down, go inside for a while, come back out and get a grip on the basics.
