  • FUCK I WISH I WAS THERE

  • Not going to lie, I really DO want a Suburban Home...so I can blast this shit and corrupt the nation...

Which is why I want to be a teacher! :D

I have my life all figured out :3

  • 1:13 he didn't go higher :(

  • @blackholeangel336 you want a suburban home

  • @TheAsteres sadly...i already have one :(

  • melodic hardocre rules!!

  • i love how he says i wanna be a clone its so low and deep compared to the studio version

  • Anyone got the studio version?

  • @shadiesel get the cd or vinyl!

  • @shadiesel Youtube doesnt let you upload it. I know I tried haha

  • I wish the Descendents kept their rebellious hardcore-punk roots, their newer music just doesn't have the same feel (maybe it's their age showing?)

  • @Souperfridge i agree

  • just heard taking back sunday's cover of this and i gotta say it isn't better, but it damn sure isnt as bad as everyone says it is. I think its because the moment someone hears the word emo the pitchforks just come flying out. Open your minds you pretentious dick. Its not a bad cover.

  • @CheersandSuch punks stay to our roots and emos stay with...what ever they came from...its the image of emos thinking there pure punk for doing a cover thats what pisses us punks off so thats what ppl are trying to say and just leave the punk music to the punks and the emo stuff to the emos and things will be ok so peace from the sc punx

  • This version is fuckin' rocking. I had TH American Wasteland but luckily never noticed the Taking Back Sunday cover because I switched them off just knowing who they are. A drummer I play music with got me into the Descendents a little over a year ago and we started covering this song shortly after.

  • I have a Milo tat on my leg. Descendents are awesome

  • What does Milo say at the end?

  • @chabowker arent you glad when we play at the slums so no one can go and see us

  • @chabowker suburban home

  • @SarahRodDragonfly lolwut

  • "I wanna be a number! Gimme my number!"

  • @billiejoesexi You are number 56279

  • Rocketboy that is so disappointing that you can't comprehend anything, yet comment on a video of an amazing band. One of these days it will hit you… and when you realize that you might wanna start dressing like a person instead of a warped tour crowd.

  • 2 people have never been exposed to good music

  • Sorry Rocketboy375... It's a FACT.

  • Modern punk of the 21st century is not punk. It's watered down, commercialized, fashionable, and useless. It doesn't mean anything anymore. If you care about music and like to make something new. Call it anything but punk.

  • @30SecondDogWalk That isn't all true. There are quite a few honest punk bands. They're just difficult to find is all.

  • @SLAPnPOP726: Ok....fine...that's fair.

  • @30SecondDogWalk I don't refer to anything as "punk" anymore. It's become redundant. Even the classic bands.

  • anyone in the uk wanna start a pop punk/punk rock.skate punk band influenced by blink-182, Fenix TX, Sum 41, Bowling For Soup, Less Than Jake, Goldfinger, MXPX etc? message me! I play drums :)

  • @rocketboy375 that is honestly the worst selection of bands ive ever seen in a sentence

  • @nymetsrock personal opinion i guess

  • Sooo much better than taking back sunday.

  • I WANNA SEE THE DESCENDENTS! RIGHT FUCKING NOW!

  • I love how he has to wrap fucking tape around his head and glasses to keep them on haha awesome

  • hahaha at the end "LOSER"

  • I like taking back sunday's cover, but i hate the rest of their catalog. but it was the same w most of the covers on the thaw soundtrack. except fall out boy. they just suck period.

  • i love you milo. i want whatever number is next to yours.

  • Comment removed

  • Milo's vocals are a bit shit, but the song's amazing nevertheless.

  • god they have the best lyrics

  • I was born 94' started listening in 2010... i've missed out so bad, huh? fuck

  • @KablamBeats 96' and 2009. I know how you feel.

  • I was born in 1897 and aliens from the future brought me a Descendants tape before WW1. Im the punkerest of all of you.

  • Fuckin' a man, this is real punk rock...wish these little faggotty bands today would take some notes.

  • @Scike A lot of bands people will say suck, like taking back sunday, brand new, e.t.c. also are highly influenced by this band alone. I've seen a lot of those bands where most of the members are influenced by good punk/hardcore. They just want to play their own style... In a band, you can't always pick the fan base.. you just gotta run with it.

  • mcr sucks and him is horrible and even tho taking back sunday covered desecndents poorly i think they deserve a little credit theyr not so bad.

  • this is about as punk as punk can get....

  • killer song!!!!!

  • This sounds greaaaaat! ....i like it

  • woops, accidentally hit the post button twice for my previous comment, my bad.

  • wow this version sucks. The tbs version is WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY better. Lol this is just awful. XD

  • @xaioxaio11 yOUR A FAGGOT. TRIP AND FALL OF THE FACE OF THE EARTH YOU FUCKING MORON. YOUR OPINION IS MEAGER AND 80% OF ME BELEIVES THAT YOUR A WOMAN. "XD"!!

  • @fuckfeminismdotorg well than that 80% of you is wrong. I am a guy. FUCKING IMMENSE FAIL.

  • wow this version sucks. the tbs version is WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY better. LOL this is just awful XD

  • DESCENDENTS FUCKIN' RULZ

  • Descendents=WIN!!!

  • oh fuck YEA!!!

  • que temazo wn...

  • fu*k Taking Back Sunday

  • You can say fuck, babycakes.

  • @iMonkeyPoop haha yes! i had to cover one of their songs and it was the worst. also, the rest of the band sucked so i had to spend hours playing it right while they caught up.

  • your 12 right?

  • I'm not a proponet of the death penalty, but I would make an exception for moronic comments like that!!! The Descendents = LEGENDS. Taking Back Sunday = crap.

  • FUCK YOU. Man you must have not grown up in the 80's in the hardcore scene.

  • @reaper122396

    wtf

    u = fag

  • ahhh i love this

  • The best.

  • wow this is the shit... they sound great live!

  • the angry stuff is the best not this happy punk . it´s not mine. but this is awesome

  • they have a bunch of angry songs

  • @shitfacehippi fuck you faggot this is the best

  • @sunburststratocaster fuck you pisshead

  • I was born before time began and I've been listening since 100 million years ago.

  • @crimeboss818 hahahahahahhahahahahaahhahahahahahahahhahaahahhahahahahhhhahhahahahhahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha best comment ever

  • well I'm 25 and been listening since 4th grade.

    so. ha. go fuck yourselves.

nah, kidding. it's about the passion not chronology.

  • Champloo you fucking made my day.

I totally had to sign in to tell you this. haha

  • Man I love these guys. Saw them at the Cotton Club in Atlanta for their 96 reunion tour with the Bouncing Souls and Swingin utters.

  • i hate it when ppl think this song is from taking back sunday it pisses me off same with mcr with astro zombies and him with the bad brains sail on

  • @taylorzack78 wow people think that. that sucks for them

  • @taylorzack78 you can think tony hawk for that nonsense...not only did he create poser skater kids , but he threw a wrench in the music scene too...

  • @taylorzack78 or Rise Against! with Black Flag's Fix Me.

  • @taylorzack78 HIM did sail on? lol and the THAW album says covers

  • @taylorzack78 blame tony hawk.

  • @taylorzack78

MCR = Massive pussy hole emo cunts

HIM = Fake goth boy band pussy shite

Taking Back Sunday = Deserve to be shot for the shit they did on this

  • @taylorzack78 yea i fucking hate when all the shitty mainstream bands cover good songs and all the little tween fangirls think the cover is the original.

  • @testnumberone1 Welcome to America: consumerist wasteland. Who cares what the little braindead fan sluts think.

  • @testnumberone1 examples? just a request.

  • @MultiKippy

suburban home by the descendents covered by taking back sunday

start today by gorilla biscuits covered by fall out boy

institutionalized by suicidal tendencies covered by senses fail

total bummer by nofx covered by silverstein

  • @taylorzack78 cant really get mad when people say that this song is from taking back sunday. I'd blame the company who made Tony Hawks American Wasteland for not putting the original songs on the game.

  • Err...Sorry to be so harsh but who cares how old you were when you started to listen to these guys and how old you are now? Age doesn't matter, it's how much passion you have for the music itself.

  • actually none of that matters. how the music affects you as a person is the ultimate issue. nobody cares about who the biggest fan is. who you are is the end and music is the means.

  • I'm 14 and I have been listening to them since I was In 5th grade ha ha. =p

  • desendents are the sickest punk band ever! Also the best song writers!

    lele x

  • man i love this song soooo much desendents need to do a world tour like now! x

  • Haha. Milo's a busy father nowadays so sadly that probably won't happen soon.

  • i know i listened to i quit and i get his reasons for leaving, sad stuff! still got the classics, they will never die!

  • no new band with the term punk in their title moves me like any punk band that came out in the early 90's or earlier. i like a lot of new music...Peaches kicks any new punk bands ass :p id rather listen to Andrew w.k. and party hard than any punk band that formed in the 00's. All that screamo/jockcore/metalcore shit isn't scaring anybody. punk/hardcore was something different in the early 80's and people that take punk all seriously still and whine about pop/punk like Blink need to shut thy yap

  • agreed.i listen to descendents basically any skate punk, punk pop, punk rock band u can name i swear ill heard of them or know a song by them.and i listen to blinks early stuff, its been liek what 10 years since blink182 sold out?some people just cant seem to move forward.

  • I listen to all stuff.

I dont care if blink "sold out". If I like the music, I like the music. They frickin rock.

Popularity status makes no effect on my choices.

Now Devil Wears Prada on the other hand.. I would rather shuv a stick up my butt then have to hear that crap.

  • lol agreed

  • cant agree more. fuck devil wears prada. nice username btw

  • @sk8erboi4321 coooool dude thanks for the info

  • i was born85 and iwas listening to this in 90 ....im an old fart

  • you're a mere youngster ;)

I was born in 74 & started listening to these guys in 86 :D

  • I'm a youngster.

I was born in '93 and started listening to these guys in 2009. :P (maybe late 2008)

  • I was born in '93 and have been listening to these guys since 2006!

  • Wow no one my age listens to this kind of music. That's impressive.! XD

  • im 16 i listen to em also

  • I was also born in '93.

    Love Descendents!

  • i was born in '96 and i have been listening to them since 2006 to.

  • @heckler2

    Legend!!!

  • @heckler2 don't worry, you're both heaps punk. haha :P

  • @heckler2 Same here brother started listen to them cuz of the santa cruz video streets of fire HARDCORE74 \m/

  • @heckler2 i was born in 97 and started listening to these guys in 05

  • @buddrumz what are you talking aboot? you're like 25 then? That's not old at all. Fuck you know the average age of dying now is like 80 I wouldn't call 25 old lol

  • for the record... in the early days of punk rock.... it wasn't called hardcore punk. it was just "hardcore".

  • Awesome song.

  • clasica cancion thats great

  • one of the coolest punk groups ever. also, they could actually play their instruments well. question 9/11, ask questions, demand answers!!

  • Man they rock it out live

  • If you listen to 80's hardcore and compare it to hardcore now, there's so many smilarities, yeah it's evolved some, but it's not completley gone. Make sure you're not getting mixed up with metal core.

  • where did you get these videos from

  • my band play this tune at our gigs and they start runnin wild! THX descendants!

  • R.I.P. Frank Navetta, you will be missed by those that knew you

  • like 20 years ago my life goal was to see the descendents. then they got back together and i was able to see them 5 times. i win!

  • this was one of the first punk rock bands i liked, when i was like 4 or 5 yrs old,

  • this song is the fucken shit!!

  • esta cancion esta cabrona i remeber the first time i heard this song

  • de ptm px manex

  • the basslines in this one is so damn killer!

  • true, both are great bassists, but different music styles

  • Maybe... except alkaline trio sucks

  • idk why people are so closed minded when it comes to punk these days. ONLY 80s hardcore!!!

dude, u were born in 93,

    get over it,

the people who were there don't even care as much as you do.

  • i wasn't born in 93....

  • i actually was born in '93, and 80's hardcore is pretty much the only way to go.most of the new shit isn't even real punk. later.

  • 80s hardcore? or 80's hardcore punk?

  • punk, of course.

  • HARDCORE.

  • closing yourself off to other music or bands cos they're more recent is pretty much the antithesis of what, in my opinion punk is all about. To me punk is about taking whatever influences inspire & interest you, stripping it down to basics & making it your own & doing it without compromise to whats considered "cool" by the main stream.

In the words of the legendary & sadly missed D. Boon of The Minutemen "Punk was whatever we made it to be"

that's the whole point of it all

  • damn well said

  • @heckler2 serious shit.. who the fuck cares what year you were born

  • exactly what i would expect a 16 year old douchebag like you to say.

  • You need to rethink that and listen to All

  • dude your just buying into the elitest bull that has killed punk

i mean theres tons of good punk from recent years

  • name some. the only recent ones i like are the ones that are still around from the 90's and 80's. (rancid, nofx, reel big fish, ect)

the other new bands i like are all local that you've never heard of.

  • lower class brats

    street dogs

    roger miret and the disasters

    the gaslight anthem

river city rebels (pre americana sound)

    and theres tons more

you can say a punk band is bad just because the came from this decade thats pure shit

  • Please don't call yourself a punk if you're not open to any kind of music from any era.

  • You, my friend can't be any more right.

    love it

  • @homie3626 lol greeday started in the 90s

  • @kirkeat Actually, Green Day started in the late, late 80's but became known in the mid 90's.

  • @homie3626 i like green day. Thumbs down be BEOTCHES

  • old skul..rily love this band..they can rily rock you..peace out yo..
