Is this a cdma phone? If so i would be able to connect it to metropcs and it will everything will work normally on the phone? like there wouldn't be a certain feature i dont have because it's on metro? as far as reception and where i go to make calls that doesnt matter for me i stay in miami i dont travel anywhere so metro is perfect for me. i just want to know if it will function exactly like its suppose to? noway thats crazy ya i was reading somewhere online that it could use both cdma and gsm networks im not sure how it will work up here in canada cuz i talked to a sales rep for telus which is like yur verizon down there which runs on cdma and says they are goin to get the 9630 and tallked to a rep at rogers who runs on gsm network and they said they havent even heard of it coming out yet and he said it will probably come out next year up here lol...

It's possible that it's a world edition CDMA smartphone, in which case it will have a SIM card and the necessities to log onto a GSM network when taken internationally, but nonetheless, Rogers will NOT get it.

ACTUALLY, the 9630 is a CDMA-specific phone. It is basically the CDMA-networks' version of the Bold. As Rogers is basically a GSM network, the 9630 will NOT work for it. The phone will likely go to Telus or Bell.

The 9630 is actually supposed to be the CDMA version of the Bold, and we've actually got the Bold right now, which is 3G, if you want it.  It's a bit larger than the 9630 from what I can see in the videos, but I use it as my personal phone, and I got used to it very quickly. Try it out in the store and see for yourself. It will be the closest thing we have to the 9630 for a long long long time.

I think the phone looks amazing if this is the final design. It's just like the Storm with a full qwerty. My only complaint is that the rear battery cover is not the same color as the surround for the camera. It looks like the battery cover isn't factory. I'm still going to get it b/c the Storm is a pain in the butt.
