  • Awesome review, this was my transitional beer too.

  • @skankmuffin thanks, nice!!

  • Once I try more beers and get to understand the flavors and what I like, maybe I'll like it but when I tried it, I wasn't a big fan. Just turned 21 like 6 months ago and really had no clue how many different beers there are until I watched Drinking Made Easy. There's nothing wrong with drinking mainstream beers like Coors Light, Miller, Budweiser, etc. But when I see people drink only those beers, I just think about what they are missing out on.

  • @waterdrinker9 but why would you want to drink the macros after finding real beer for close to the same price. I drank Bud for thirty years, before I discovered there are beers made with better ingredients and have a whole lot more taste. I'm done with the macros.(jmo) thanks!

  • @MrGregPuckett That is true.

  • i used raw's liberty larger to transition into the craft beers, ill have to give this one a try

  • @rhodes3011 nice, cheers!

  • I did not use this as a transitional mine was Blue Moon but yes great beer for those not sure bout flavor

  • @TheNewstube01 nice, agreed, thanks!

  • Greg,

Nice review of SA. I like the term "Transitional beer' beer.

    Keep up the good work!

    Cheers!

    Roy

  • @drummer10 the beer that got me started!! thanks, cheers!

  • I just stumbled upon your beer reviews. Good job! This was also my transitional beer and still my go to beer. Keep up the good work. btw, what part of the country are you located in?

  • @sniplock thanks. in Virginia.

  • I think Boston Lager is a prime example of what an American Lager is suppose to taste like, great body, great hop & malt levels, very balanced, delicious, smooth, and refreshing. The best beer Samual Adams makes for sure!

  • @GrotesqueKevin it is a tasty beer. cheers!

  • i whould love to have youre refrigerator, great video!

  • @CLICk000000000000 thank you!

  • Great beer and a great review!

  • @LawrenceArmsxxx thank you, cheers!

  • I agree with your rating. It's a damn good beer, especially when you consider the quality of its peers at the time of its emergence. Samuel Adams and Anchor Steam were two of the forerunners of America's return to great beer.

  • @Sodeggy yep, I'll drink to that. cheers!

  • Greg can I ask you what work you do/used to do? You're always pretty professional while maintaining that right amount of common cordiality. Great job!

  • @StevXtreme I own a small custom cabinet and countertop shop. check out the cabinet shop video's on my other channel mrgregpuckett. thanks!

  • I have tried several Sam Adams beers and they've ranged from tolerable to undrinkable. They overdo the flavors and seems very amateurish.

  • @dynelol I consider them a transitional beer company. I don't think I have had anything from them undrinkable so far. thanks

  • Had this last night as part of the Winter Collection. Totally agree. Pretty pedestrian for a craft beer, but, enjoyed it. Very drinkable brew, and always available.

  • @km6ln entry level craft beer. thanks!

  • I would say you're giving this beer a little too much credit; however, I'm sure there is a lot of nostalgia involved :P. It is a good transitional beer though.

  • @Devinbatteryd agreed!

  • I like your accent man lol

  • @majornewb thanks!

  • you need some creedence clearwater on your vidoes man it goes so well

  • I love Samuel Adams, but I can't say it was a transitional beer for me because when I started drinking beer in February, 1996 (age 27) I always tried craft beers alongside the macro-lagers.

  • @ronaldtheriot nice!

  • As always sir a great review I call it a shovel beer as opposed to lawnmower I'm in Chicago had two of these after shoveling 21 inches of snow out of my drive as for the individual who would prefer a miller over this you are a poor misguided soul you want to talk lack of taste miller is awful whenever I visit family in Boston I always go to Fenway and have a Sam Adams it is a tasty beer

  • @cpdusmcdst9 miller is fizzy yellow water!!

  • I like this kind of beer, lagers with alot of taste and all that, but this particular beer im not that much into, i think it taste kind of dull, not really that much taste and nothing really special, I would much rather have a bud or a miller then this i have to say

  • @baconfromhell666 thanks

  • Great review man. I've recently stepped into the beer tasting scene(as a younger lad), getting into slightly hoppier beers as I progress. I've tried the Ranger IPA which I saw your review on but I certainly need to work my way up to that strength(it was too strong for me). You seem like a really cool/nice guy, i'd love to have a beer with you. Keep up the reviews.

  • @creatonx you will get there. try Sam Adams Latitude 48. cheers!

  • What's up Greg? Yeah im with you on the transition beer analogy, it was mine as well, this and Killians irish red. Sam Adams is definitly a cut above the standard pilsner, but not on the level of the more quality styles. Have you ever thought about doing a review on porters? Guinness is my favorite beer, maybe you should try it. Here's to ya, Gulp!

  • @Yggmsa already reviewed that one. cheers!

  • its great to see that you admitted to the glass, where did you find it? i think this beer is one of the best sam adams. haven't seen all of your videos, but i would love to see your review of sam adams honey porter if you haven't reviewed it already.

  • @2CoolWalking have not done that one. I will put it on the list. Thanks

  • I found this one far too light for my European tastes. I must admit that I drank it Nagasaki so it might have lost some flavour during transportation. I have to agree though that its great for drinking through the night.

  • @anjinsan9000 its a little weak for a seasoned drinker, like myself. haha thanks

  • @grandilochris thanks, I appreciate the comments.

  • just had three sam adams octoberfests last night, SA is goood beer.

  • @increddavisstuntman absolutely, thanks

  • it'll get ya drunk!

  • @shroomingnewman yes, it will !!

  • I tried Adams a couple years back and I really did not like it. After your review I migh have to give it another try...

  • @PsykoProduction its a good transitional beer. thanks

  • Awesome review! Sam Adams is my fav beer company...maybe I'm slightly baised cause I'm a Boston guy lol but they make damn good craft beers!!

  • @m1dnightshow thanks, enjoy!!

  • please review pabts blue ribbion i love that stuff!

  • @lvcoats74848 I usually don't review the maco lagers. just the craft brews. but it does have a refreshing taste. I had one a couple of months ago and thought it was decent for a macro lager.. thanks

  • Nice review! I also love the insides of your fridge!!!

  • @DenisLD thanks Denis. cheers!!

  • Sometimes its good sometimes its bad, Sam Adams is too inconsistent these days. I stopped buying there products. Any brewery that contract brews is going to have that problem.

  • @Tantrum777 thanks for the comments Jamison. cheers!

  • I'm glad I subbed to you. It's nice to have someone's opinion and a very good one too.

    Thank you

  • @hombrearanita thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. cheers!

  • Great review!

  • @CyberrPolice thank you!

  • Everybody likes Sam Adams Boston Lager. Sam's is a great option when you go somewhere with limited choices.

  • @geoffolehane I agree. thanks
