I dyno'd my 09 G8GT over the weekend and Even though I think the numbers are low, I got 332 at the wheels.

@2009richmk sorry but both these cars weight the same. 250hp v6 compared to 370hp v8 is no match, the charger r/t is the better choice in terms of speed.

I have just bought a 08 G6 GXP. and from the looks of the motor u have cold air. i have been online and have not been able to find jack! I keep hearing that i need to get everything customized and fabricated. but im just wantin some more input from someone who actually has the same car as me, lookin forward to your response.

I know this beast came from the factory with 252(ish) HP, and the Cadillac and Camaro 3.6 (same engine) put down 304..... can't you get direct injection for the G6 too? plus your mods, you'd have close to what the G8 has stock LOL

If you have the money for DI, anything is possible. A stock G8GT is anywhere between 299 and 315 rwhp. I didnt dyno mine yet, but with my mods, Im probably close to 340-350 rwhp.

The engines are dissimilar. You'd need a completely different top end, heads, LIM + UIM, and you may not be able to to fit an intake on it, brake booster will probably be in the way.

Plus, there would be no way to controll the injectors. Mess around with hard fuel lines, bunch of hassle.

really? geez GM really made sure that their Caddy and Camaro variants were more powerful, thats so dumb, they have a 304 HP V6!!!! Why not in the GXP? LOL

@camaroman101 Well Pontiac has a few Trans ams in Production that they are going to sell, I talked with the Dealer at GM and yeah, they just might come out with one amazing Car :)

But they look alot like the Camaro but better Look on it.

this car will run with a mustang gt pretty well actually and its way smaller of an engine but greatly designed car way to go pontiac

I sold everything I had accept for the "GXP" floormats and euro tails. To answer your question, I had a VMS ecm/tcm tune, GMPP cat back, hsrk and cai.

nice stuff, what exactly are your mods? I have a vector tune, cai, magnaflow exhaust, heatsoak kit, and a full 3 inch y pipe with resenator and cat delete. thats basically all the stuff that can be done do these that i know of.
